Brothers & Sisters

Did i miss an episode? because when did Rebecca get so chummy with the Walkers?

And the scene were the family choose Rebecca's answer over Kitty;s that say alot its like she is actually apart of the family now.

Kitty and Beccs look alike.

Especially Sarah, it was so odd for me seeing Sarah act so close with Rebecca, when did that happen?

The senators brother looks like he could be Chads brothers.

I knew Jo was an ass from the start. There was just something off about him. I like however that Rebecca didn't go further with him. I quite like beccs.

Sarah is going to be devastated but its good that she knows so she can move on and get a good man.

What a twist? The more i think about it, What Jo did is so low, his own wifes sister? are you serious Jo?

Darma and Greg? LOL

And i also noticed that Abby (young and the restless) played little Gweneth tonight. She is so adorable. I liked her on Y&R.

It was a rather sudden thing in tonight's ep--all the other siblings decided it was time to welcome her into the family.

As for Rebecca though, I tend to think (especially because this is television) she's a lot more like her mother than she lets on. I mean first of all, who really thinks that she messed up that Romeo and Juliet question? It looked to me as if she wanted to get it wrong just to screw over Kitty. I also didn't get why Kitty tried to cheer her up later. That conversation made no sense. And Joe? Sorry, but I don't think we have any evidence that Joe kissed her, just her word. Remember, the way she looked at him was, "Wow, I'd really love you to kiss me." And then there was the story about the prof/teacher she used to date.

So yeah, if he did kiss her he's a jerk, but first we need to determine whether or not he did and whether or not she wanted it.

The senator's brother by the way, hot, hot, hot!!

as much as i like her....i kinda think Rebecca may be out to ruin the family...haha

i loved this episode though...it progressed things and was funny and touching....i love this show...one of the only dramas on tv right now that I can actually watch without being completely bored(hello Desperate Housewives)

"Wow, I'd really love you to kiss me."

Jo was the one that had that looked. Rebecca looked shocked.

Yes that was very odd. It seemed out of place. Tonight was good (minus Jo) but would have been better if there was an episode before tonight that would show the audience growing closer with Rebecca but tonight just seemed doesnt mesh with past episodes.

it progressed things

too fast if you ask me.

Tonight made me feel like i have missed an episode. I don't get how the Walkers are so close to Rebecca. The only person at this stage that should be cool and close with Rebecca is Justin.

I totally agree with dr beat that Becca is trying to screw over the family. The first thing I thought when she got the question wrong duing the game was that she was doing it on purpose.

And then I wasn't surprised when she admited that Jo kissed her because I got the feeling she was lying.

This all coupled with the fact that I believe I read somewhere that the long last sister would be a problem for the family, and I'm convinced she is up to no good.

I'd hope to be wrong though because being wrong would leave more option for the character to be around later. If she were a troublemaker and they found out, why would they want her around, thus we can't see the lovely Emily VanCamp anymore.

PS-Eric Winter, AKA Jason McAllister-YUM YUM YUM. Please lets have more of him.

The reason everyone started to reach out to Rebecca this episode came in the beginning at Easter dinner when Justin made them all feel guilty when he brought up the fact that she'd have no connection to the family when he went off to Iraq....that's when the others, minus Kitty, started calling her and wanting to get to know her. I mean yeah it was a sudden change...but it didn't really come out of the blue like all y'all are saying.

and the scene with Kitty came from her seeing that the rest of her family has accepted her and she saw that they all chose rebecca's answer over kitty's so i think she just decided that if her family can all accept her that she should give her a chance so she just kinda reached out to her by telling her about the time she got the answer wrong. And yeah Rebecca was kinda awkward during that encounter...but i didn't think Kitty was...Kitty seemed genuine. but rebecca had to go back and mention that she didn't have a good childhood like them....

Eric Winters is only in one more spisode. He's signed on to another show.

Can the rights mess up the character of Kevin any more?

Plus what's with the same gimmicks in each episode?

I heard about that. I don't like the name of the show t hopefully it won't flop because I'm a sucker for a good P.I./detective show (see: Veronica Mars).

I don't think the Kevin is messed up at all.. but I did thing they brought on Jason McCallister a little too early. Especially since it was only last week's episode Kevin and what's his face broke up (In case you can't tell, I wasn't a fan of that storyline AT ALL).

I'm glad to see a 'lighter' side of Sarah in these last two episodes before the dramatic side of her comes out again next week.

I'm just waiting for the day when Rob Lowe decides he's bored and leaves like he usually does.

Good point, but again, the problem is that Kitty was infamous throughout the ep for screwing up the Gerald Ford question at the last trivia night. So for the family to go with the girl they just met instead of her, and then have that girl turn out to be wrong, well that should have made her hate Rebecca even more. I didn't buy that scene.

Best line of the night, despite some of the annoying developments?

"That's Becca. William's illegitimate daughter, and their half-sister."

"... Oh . We don't have one of those."

It seems like Rebecca's character is always "poor victim Rebecca" and is always the voice of sanity in a house full of Walker chaos. It wouldn't surprise me if the writers are trying to get the audience to love her only to reveal the twist that she is secretly evil.

I don't love Joe, I don't hate Joe, he has always just been a filler character for me. I do see him staying around longer than Rebecca though. Rebecca could have an easier exit..off to college...back to chicago...whatever.

But with Paige and the little boy around, there would always have to be Joe. How would the writers work that one out? Especially if Rebecca was to stick around?

Seems like it would be easier on the writers and more of a surprise to the audience to make Rebecca the evil one, so that's what I am predicting.

The show is pretty much nearly up to where you guys are in the US here in Oz, and it has become a firm staple in my night viewings, thanks in part by the family dynamics that are constantly shifting in the Walkers and the somewhat unconventional way they are handling the whole mistress and illegidimit child scenario.
My thoughts on what could happen. Kitty has up to now been played as the somewhat black sheep of the family and is still on the outer and not truly included in a lot of family activivites. This leaves a space in a way for a new sibling as it were to come into the picture and effectively take her spot. This is where Rebecca comes in, acting all nice and sweet and seemingly nothing like her mother and so of coarse the mother, and the rest of the siblings, welcome her.
Now, if the writers want a really meaty pay off with this character of Rebecca, I think they will in the end make out that she and her mother are in together to upsurge the Walker family from the inside out as it were, and somewhere down the line it is Kitty, the outsider of the family, who stumbles across the deception. And of coarse, as many are not truly close to kitty and this point but practically fawning all over their newer and nicer sibling Rebecca, who do you think the family, and kitty's own mother I wager, will believe when push comes to shove ?
This will bring two of the MAJOR plot points to a head that have been boiling since the first episode - Kitty as always the outsider of the Walkers and two, the ramafications of a husband's infidelity and the resulting demon child and her mother.

I also agree, after the show ended I turned to my friend and said how interesting it was that we did not actually see the kiss. I don't think it happened.
She was flirting with Joe with all that dating an older man stuff but I don't think Joe bought into it. Becca is a bad seed, but why choose to hurt Sarah who aside from Justin has been the most kind to her, perhaps she knows Sarah and Joe's marriage is the most vulnerable. I feel bad for Joe.
Oh, and Becca soooo messed up that game answer on purpose.
We have to wait at least two weeks, next week is another repeat.

But remember, she's not "secretly" evil. After all, she's her mother's daughter---and her father's daughter too for that matter!

This past Sunday's episode of Brothers and Sisters had a new love interest for Kevin. It was Jason McCallister played by Eric Winter. They make a cute couple. Eric is very good looking. Hope he continues on the show.

Why are they making Kevin's character so angry and "in-your-face"? I hope the writers don't keep this up because I've found Kevin's character particularly unsympathetic as of late. The way the whole thing ended with Chad seemed callous to me and I can't even imagine railing on the way he did about the senator on a first date.

I want a more a character that doesn't seem so totally incapable of sustaining a relationship.

And, I want Scotty back!

Yeah, Kevin's character just isn't even close to what it used to be in the beginning. When he was with Scotty he used to be sort of quiet and guarded. Now somehow he is referred to as a "man-whore?" Also, where he used to be witty and clever, he now seams kind of bitchy.

I agree and would like to think it has been done purposely for some later character growth, but I honestly think it has more to do with the writers not knowing if the show would be a sure thing at the beginning, and now that it's more or less a hit, they've completely changed to character.

I agree. When he was with Scotty he was the more "closeted" one even though he wasn't closeted. I can't believe he wasn't supportive of a not only nice, but gorgeous guy like Chad.

And any person of intelligence would've stopped insulting the senator as soon as it became apparent that his date didn't share his feelings, which was after about the third insult.

And I agree with Ares too about the "man whore" thing. That was a surprise to me. At the beginning of the series I was under the impression that Kevin was unlucky with men.

I am gay and I hate Kevin. I love the drunken drug addict son, and his mother, Nora. I should like Kevin as birds of a feather...but he is a little rude, and a little mean, and a little too much for me. The mother of Becca I like only because she is blonde. Becca, I have no point of reference, except she could be trouble in a cloud of make believe. Kevin should keep is mouth shut and just smile. He would be a winner then, my mom told me if you can't say something nice, say nothing. Kevin kept on , and on, and on. He then told Kittie he had played the "liberal" card as he was with a gay guy. That is no excuse. Gay or straight. Liberal or conservative. I am tired of his nonsense, as if Samatha Jones from "sex and the city" would fuck a guy that was unsatisfying...lol. shit Kevin.
