I'm just gonna throw this out there but there's a hundreds o'years old gender-neutral pronoun, used both singularly and plural in the English language that's perfectly serviceable, that being 'they'.

If you lot are that fucking irritated that you gotta mix her pronoun with the rest so you don't have to show the basic common courtesy you give every other living thing then you might as well drop the 'he' and 'it', toddle away from the 'discussion', such as it is, and head to a English class. Your teachers are rolling in the grave.

We removed all gender references in our work over 15 years ago.

But it is hard for people to get over the he/she thing.

The answer. Use the person's name.

But some people use the he/she/it schtick to denigrate and devalue the person or the situation.

And I feel sorry for them that their minds work at such a sophomoric, juvenile level.

this entire thread started as a conversation about Caitlyn going back to Bruce, hence the he/she remarks. It appeared that Caitlyn couldn't decide. Now that we see it is not true, we can go back to living our normal lives. Not that I have to explain myself but I guess I will, my he/she remarks were pointed at Caitlyn when I was under the assumption she was going to be Bruce again. I was being snarky because I felt like it was just another look at me, I'm so confused, I'm a rich attention whore moment. Now that it's not true, I don't know what to do...

As far as I'm concerned, 'he' was the blond hunk running around the stadium in his blue track shorts and red jersey in Montreal in 1976. He was 'he' until recently when 'he' became 'she'. Whether the reason is biological, mental, monetary, attention, keeping up with the Kardashians, or whatever, she is 'she' until (if ever) she decides to switch back.
