  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Camilla Parker Bowles.

^ Not much Max.

I'm surprised they've let her live this long, especially after her smash and grab on the royal jewels.

My sins have nought to do with it.
HIS religion - and the religion under which HE was married, and the word of HIS god dicates:
"And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death." [Leviticus 20:10]

There was a time when the presiding monarch could say "Off with their heads!" and it would happen. Pity old Mrs Winsor couldn't and didn't.
Whoa! Hold on...The Church of England is a Christian religion, no? That means that it follows the teachings of Christ contained in the New Testament, not the old Testament (aka the Torah). Ok. Carry on...

and the future Queen of England has reportedly fallen off the wagon…again.

Camilla can never be the Queen of England, just as the current queen's mother was NOT the queen when her husband was the king, and Phillip - the queen's husband - is not the king.
You only get to be queen by inheritance, not by marriage.
She will be titled The King's Consort.

"3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry." -Matthew 19:3-10

But then when were royalty ever sincerely expected not to commit adultery?

That could have quoted that more concisely. That way, I could pretended to have done it off the top of my head.

No. The Queen's husband does not exist constitutionally. The King's wife is the Queen. Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon became in succession Her Royal Highness the Duchess of York, Her Majesty the Queen, Her Majesty the Queen Mother.

And a great Consort she'll make. Lets be honest here she will sit well next to him regardless of the title.

Btw, I hear a new book is in the works and will feature her life and all her contributions to society.

Hurry up and make it I say.

Another long, empty, tedious, pointless celebrity thread. Someone please explain why some people are so entranced, enthralled by mere celebrity. I know that it is an easy way to fill space in tabloid newspapers. Does it also function in the same way to fill space in an empty brain?

The Duchess of Cornwall today highlighted a scheme which will provide toiletries to rape victims after they have undergone medical examinations.

Camilla, 68, visited a Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre in Croydon, then went on to help pack one of the wash bags that she herself pioneered.

The Duchess, who has campaigned on the issue over the past few years, hopes to 'shine a light' on what she called a 'truly important' issue.

Of course some people tend to forget all the nice things that Camilla, Duchess of Cornwell has done for Britain. Not only does she help the needy and do charity work BUT she also gives to the economy when she purchases her Royal stuff.

Look at her taking time out to help pack the wash bag and she didn't even ask her servants to do it for her.

The other thing that bugs me is foreigners giving out advice that the Prince of Wales should immediately abdicate and hand the responsibility of the crown to the Prince William.

Where do they get this idea from? There isn't a precedent for this, is there?

I don't like that either.

Charles is our future king.

This article is interesting. It's about camilla being named Queen.

I personally would love her to be a Queen and Charles as King.

I'm not holding out much hope.

Though many a report over the years has stated that all Camilla wants is to support Charles and will abide by whatever decision made by the future King. There has probably been many a drunken screaming match at Clarence House regarding this issue. Camilla probably does all the screaming while Charles just cowers.

That boobage is a bit scary.

It is not within the power of the current Queen of England to decide who suceeds her. Therefore, she cannot skip Charles and declare that William will be the next King. I hope you fine British people will all give Camilla a chance, after all we are not talking about the dreaded Wallis Simpson. Being an American, but having 60% British DNA, I do support the monarchy, even though my opinion holds no value.
