Can people tell you're gay from your voice?

For me they can most of the time. must be all the 'oh. my. god's that i do

When I'm shy or uncomfortable I can be soft-spoken, so people would I assume I'm gay because manly men are aggressive, grrr. Sometimes the tone I use might be a give away, but it depends. So basically if your gaydar is on point, you would tell. If not then me telling you 'I'm gay' would shock you...short of you going through my iPod or asking me 'Don't you want to sleep with that girl?

I dunno, I have no clue what my own voice sounds like to other people :(
Same here. What people think they sound like and what others think can be different. I don't think my voice sounds like any stereotypical gay voice. But then again, for all I know others could be thinking "he's a total cock lover." Some people detect these things better than others. Even some straight people can have gaydar.

I don't know about myself, But I did peg a few people on the phone by their voice. It was pretty obvious.

Probably in Leon, my hometown, yes.

Here most people will think my accent is soft because I come from the north.

I hate the sound of my recorded voice. When I hear it, I think I sound gay. Most people tell me that I don't sound gay though.

No, apparently not. More from body mannerisms, total lack of girlfriend/wife and/or comments along the lines of "god he's hot" or "i'd do him" :p

My voice gives it away to anybody perceptive enough to notice. I find a lot of gays who think they don't sound gay, actually do! I sound gay and proud to admit it.

Not usually, but occasionally, if I get really excited and uninhibited.

+1

I actually have kind of a deep voice, so not usually. But if I'm excited and around people I know, I will sometimes sport a stereotypical gay twist.

i agree with gmoney. when ive recorded my voice it seems that im gay but im so sad that i sound gay when im cussing people out
