K - Mrs Markey. She got really sick and was replaced by Ms Smith for most of the year.

4 - Mr Gunderson, who left during a teachers' strike. Mr Hunter replaced him.

10. (Yet another school): Faces, no names, but remember the Dean Of Students was appropriately named Mrs. Kopp
11. (Still another school): Have a few names in my head but in the interest of remaining anonymous, I'll skip this year and 12.
 
I can remember the names of every elementary school teacher I had, and I entered first grade fifty two years ago in September. (And they were all women.)

I only remember about half my high school teachers (all men), because there were so many of them. At least 40.

Actually, the ones whose names I can't remember were my favorite ones. The ones I didn't like made a bigger impression on me.
 
My first teacher, 41 years ago, was Miss Burridge; she was wonderful.

She obviously had a big effect upon me, because I can remember her name; which is more than can be said for any of my subsequent teachers.
