Can you smell Christmas yet?

Actually I look forward to Christmas in a way because I know that the next day it's over and I can go shopping for next Christmas.

You should read about Mauritius history and you will learn that 98% of white Mauritian people are from French nobility descant and thus almost all of them have Kings in their ancestors.... My ancestor who came settle here 200 years ago was from King Louis IX descant on his father and from an German Emperor on his mother side but that doesn't make me quite an heir of the French Kingdom Crown... I'm just proud...

It's getting there, and no, I don't smell Christmas yet. For me...It's the Advent Season beginning on December 1st this year, 4 weeks of Spiritual Preparations, then comes Christmas Season with the Mid-Night Smells and Bells of Mid-Night Mass.
 
So what, are you now with due hangover, in the hospital after a family quarrel, gone out blackfridaying..?
 
I wonder why everybody seems particularly motivated to go wishing a good year 2014 like crazy, as if it were to be a great year rather than the gateway to hell.
 
I don't so much smell Christmas as hear it. The cicada's are in full voice and it's deafening. Add to that the humid heat and it's beginning to hear and feel like Christmas.
