Cats

The neighbor's cat today came over, looked me over, bumped by leg once, then turned around and stalked off. Ten feet away, it turned around and meowed at me, but when it took a step towards it, it went farther away again.

Only thing I could figure was it was because the neighbors were out (mutilating shrubs trimming cotonieaster with a machete....) in the yard.
