I had cat who was mean and irritable like that, until one day I came home and she was nowhere to be seen. I finally found her in the bedroom closet; she'd gotten the lid off a shoe box that held my nice thick knitted house slippers and had kittens!I love cats. I had 2 at one point. Poupon and Precious. Poupon was nasty. She only wanted things on her terms. Try to pat her and get bitten or scratch. When she wanted to be patted, she jumped in your lap. Precious was timid and never meowed until Poupon died. She suddenly discovered her voice. Funny how cats are. They do have personalities.
My younger brother used to get big empty tubes that held carpet and turn them into cat "castles", covering them with carpet scraps from the same store. To get one as good at a pet supply store would have cost $100, and that was almost thirty years ago.relocated . . .

I got this for a good price. It was $89. It can go for $140-$160
On of my younger brother's cats once curled up inside a pizza box that still had pizza in it. He didn't bother the pizza (except shedding a bit on it), but he hissed when someone lifted the lid to take a slice.
Video please! Our Kitty Missy now has me totally trained to play toss the mouse.
She will chase it and carry it back as many times as you can throw it. Today it was over 60 times throughout the house in different directions.
The game has also made her very vocal. She chirps when she brings the mouse back to drop at your feet and I can only describe it as giggling as she runs after it.
A pure delight.

I had a cat that did that, but after a while she'd get tired of it and start using claws.
One of my neighbors has a cat that chirps. The other day he chirped while purring and it came out "Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt" with 'hard' r like in Spanish. Our Kitty Missy now has me totally trained to play toss the mouse.
