Clinton wins OH & RI, Obama wins VT, TX??

There are a lot of people saying that the Democrats may nominate Hillary Clinton, because of her wins in the big states (California, Texas, Ohio, Florida (say what you want, but they voted for her), New York, and New Jersey), which is needed in November. I think it is going to be extremely interesting over the next few months.

It is increasingly clear that Clinton is the strongest candidate for the fall election. Clinton wins the big industrial states and swing states and Obama wins the reliably blue states and the reliably red states. The party elders and super delegates ar going to have to step in if the present trend continues and tell Obama to go back to the Senate get a record to run on in the future or he will drag the party down to defeat in 2008.

I personally think if Clinton can wins Pennsylvania, then there is a good chance that Hillary will receive the Democratic party nomination for President.

No, it really isn't increasingly clear that Hillary is the best choice. Maybe to the Feminists it is "clear", but to everyone else, it really isn't. Otherwise, your gal would have won more primaries and caucuses than she has.

The bottom line is that you aren't going to exceed Obama in Delegates. You had better hope and pray it comes down to the Super Delegates, something that goes against the very essence of Liberty and Democracy.

CNN made a comment (I didn’t catch it all) earlier that said something that Florida and Michigan could/may be heading to court in order to give Hillary Clinton the delegate counts.

Just heard on the news that caucuses are still going on in Harris County. I got out of my caucus at 9:15.

The analysts on CNN hinted/made comments that was making it seem that if Hillary Clinton wins Pennsylvania, then Obama may need to drop out of the race, as the Democratic party may start leading more to Hillary Clinton as the nomination for President, because of her wins/support in the states the Democrats need in order to win the White House in November.

If they want to count these states, the only fair way is to redo them. There is no way they can in good faith go with the results, as is as the results are skewed as of right now.

i dont think you really heard right unless there reporting something way off. what i heard from msnbc ( i know two diffrent channels ) said that there going to end up having florida and michigan redone in june i think they said. they cant just award her michigan because it wasnt a fair vote.

What wasn't fair about the vote in Michigan? No one made the voters go out and vote for her. I know in Florida, everyone was on the ballot, meaning she won that fair.

Because the voters were told that no Delegates were going to be awarded therefore, essentially, their votes weren't going to count with respect to the nomination. So people that may have been inclined to vote, stayed home. And this is the problem with both states.

Again, the only fair way is to redo the states. Is this a problem, for some reason?

it would be fair if they gave the undecided votes to obama. meaning he would of had 40% of the vote, but then that wouldnt be fair to the people who didnt want either or coulnt make up there mind. point being if they gave her michigan it be automatic win because he wasnt on the ballot and thats unfair. and also what midnight said i was just quoting your post same time he did so we both said kinda the same thing lol

I'm not trying to start any trouble, as I believe everyone can have their own opinion. However, would you have the same feelings, if the tables were turned and Obama had won both Florida and Michigan.

I agree. And I think Clinton will probably win Pennsylvania, if the trends (which have been very persistent) hold.

I don't think Hillary can beat McCain in a general election; and I have yet to see a poll which favors her over McCain with voters. But I've seen plenty which favor McCain over Clinton.

I think we're looking at President McCain in 2009. And maybe President Huckabee or Rice after the oldest president ever elected keels over from a heart attack while in office.

Unbelievable. Just unbelievable. :cry::cry::cry:

if you were refering to me. and it was june and obama still had his lead over her. of course my feelings would change. because if he won once in those two states and he was ahead and they were gonna redo it what would be the point ? if he already had enough to get the nomination. if it was the other way around and hillary was winning and obama won florida and michigan without a do over. yes i would still feel the same way. fair is fair no other way around it.

well before u assume anything to early. lets say for randomness obama droped out after pa. wich would be april, there would be what 7 months if my math is right till the election. ALOT can happen in 7 months.

Yeah, we would feel the same. No way Florida and Michigan can be counted, even if they were 100% Obama.

Imagine if Russia conducted a presidential election with only one name on the ballot, or after the citizens were told the election wouldn't count - but you can go waste your time voting anyway, if you want. Do you think that's democracy? Do you think any international body would certify that as a valid election?

If MI and FL want to be counted, they need to hold a fair election. I agree they would probably go with Clinton, since that has been the trend of all the big states. That I can accept. But not a sham election. I'm tired of feeling embarrassed for my country's inability even to conduct an election.

When did America lose its democracy?

I don't think 7 months is enough time to find another country.

I hope Hillary kicks some major Obama ass!!!
