The ex-military guy who did the take-down said that he told one of the other guys to take his "AR" away from him. The military guy took a handgun away from the shooter and beat him with it. Technically, an AR-15 is a short-barrel gun since it's under 16 inches but that's the kind of arcane information that someone standing in a dark bar probably doesn't think about (unless they're a hobbyist)?

As we've seen in this thread already, the Sympathy Express is getting ready to pull into White Privilege Junction. Has anybody checked on the killer to see how he's doing? I'm sure murdering people must've been very traumatizing for him. :rolleyes:

I think the father going into porn is going to play a much larger role in the lead up to the trial, and in the defense's profile of the killer.

Or is it the other way round? Is it the obligation to succeed as an individual rather than as a member of a group (as it was like in the past) rather than the freedom to be one's self that makes people do this?

5 people dead and over 20 injured in mass shooting with assault rifle. Gay Twitter ignores the obvious- gun control issues, how the wounded will afford their hospital and rehabilitation bills (not considering lost wages), homophobia, right wing social media, violence- the usual issues. Instead, they worry that the guy who tackled the shooter referred to one of the people in the bar as a "drag queen" instead of a transwoman.

Meanwhile, back at the court... the attorneys for the defendant describe him as "non-binary" and his pronouns are "they/them". Turns out that his father abandoned him shortly after his birth and then the father embarks on a career as an MMA fighter/porn model/meth addict. The grandfather is a loony Trumpite who nearly was kicked out of the California legislature.

Right wing social media is all in a tizzy because their hero-shooter turns out to be one of the Satanic trans people. They're going to send Kyle Rittenhouse into isolation so that he doesn't begin to question his gender identity.

If someone were to pitch this story to Netflix, they would assign a ghost writer to make the story more plausible.
