Okay, I was worried about the ones you recommended to me. But I ended up going with crucial instead of PCClub.
 
Well I do hope they work, wonder if I'm able to put them in with the old memory.
 
I suppose, but I would hate to yet again buy a product that doesn't work.

Don't go there Brandon. Just install the new pair and leave it at that.

And I hope for noelies sake they are the right ones. I hate to see to gay guys pulling each others hair out.:)
 
They even say it's compatible with the computer so I don't think he could be wrong.....right?
 
Just got home from 4 days with the boyfriend, got the memory from crucial and installed it. It works! Yay! Thank god that the memory is the same type as the old one here is a screen shot of it.

I'm quite tired, but that is a yes. I was scared because it was really hard to get them in, the wires were difficult to move aside.

and yes it is running well but like brandon i need a better graphics card but i really want a 22" monitor ;) and since i am getting about $1000 back from tax in the next couple of weeks hopefully ill get both

i want this

but i should be able to get the bed and that sexy sammy monitor for just over a grand so it should be sweet since i don't play heaps of games i wont worry about the graphics for a while what i have is adequate for HL2 and AoE which is what i have now i just want the monitor for movies which i do alot more than game so yeah

wow i really dribbled alot of shit there didn't i !oops!

alas i broke it trying to move it and not is a more exotic manner ;) oh well it not all interesting i guess is it g33ky to plan the cost of your bed around that of the monitor you want ;)

When the 22" just doesn't cut it get an iMac 24" and plug your 22" into it. Go for the 2.8 gig running Vista and sleep on the floor.;)

I seriously need a new monitor, and probably a new power supply to run a faster graphics card.

If u know which video board is in there, look up the specs on the manufacturers page for power consumption and compare that with the one u are thinking of buying. I'm not sure but it is possible a new one may be more efficient thus negating the need for a new power supply. Those are cheap anyway.

Most video cards usually want something bigger than 300 watts, and my power supply is only 300 watts.
 
i saw someone with an apple sticker on their car made me wish i had a sticker like this to put over the top

You are right. I looked up the ATI Radeon™ HD 2900 Series and it recommends a 750 watt power supply. I did however watch the sample clip and was amazed how much better it was than my 5 y/o card.:confused:;)
So much for efficiency:help:
