Life works in such ironic, and mysterious ways...

Although I'm still grieving, I was kind of torturing myself watching Animal Planet... "Cats 101" and although I've been trying to figure out what species/breed my cat was his entire life, they laid it out for me today! Apparently he was a rare ( ? ) Chantilly-Tiffany. They (and the web) described him 1000%.

If/when I ever adopt again, I so want another of this breed! IF I can find one.

Isn't it funny how attached we get to breeds? I think to non-animal people, a dog is a dog and a cat is a cat. But there's so much variety of habit and personality within that. I'll be a schnauzer fan until I die probably... I have always been around them literally since I was a newborn, and I just know every little in and out of their personality and mischief. They're also profoundly expert guilt-manipulators. They can effect the most convincing appearance of sad, forlorn starvation when they want something more to eat after you've already given them more than usual.

I'm excited! It's like reading a will, and finding out a history I never knew. He showed up a starving stray I didn't know anything about. I thought all his personality quirks was just him, and an unknown past. They're built into his breed!

Although finding another might be difficult... had I known he was so rare, I wouldn't have been so quick to get him fixed all those years ago.

Considering the neighborhood I lived in back then, it really ads to the mystery of where he did come from.
