I have been a member here since 2007. Throughout that time, I have lost a lover to bladder cancer, embraced celibacy, become more involved with my Catholic Faith, and also become way more conservative.

Does this mean that I deserve to be censored by the "moderators"? I am curious to hear opinions. I can and will provide specific examples upon request. (Need to know there is interest first...)

:-)

Um I think there are plenty here who are religious and there is a religious forum... I can't stand religion, but that's my personal feeling. I don't think you'll encounter any issues.

Agreed!!!!

I'm sorry to hear that you had to endure and go through such a loss.
embraced celibacy,
Is this because you remain faithful to your late partner?

In what way?

This. Politics makes animals of us all. No one is left unscathed. Everyone has an opinion, and everyone is entitled to disagree with you or him or her.

I see from some of your former postings you're a CE&P participant. It has its own broad church of followers. The mods there also span the left to right spectrum and there are rules of conduct, engagement and methods of arbitration and conflict resolution there. I rarely step in there because its mostly American politics though.

As for freedom of speech, you have a wide lassitude and you did sign up to the terms of service provided on this free board, and you're also welcomed to leave of your own accord and seek another forum for more outspoken speech against your rivals.

Lodging a complaint about being censored or having your posts moderated by the staff on this forum should be done privately in a PM to a designated Moderator of the sub-forum you are having issue with. You may also post a thread at the "Ask the Moderators" sub-forum here, where you can speak directly to the JUB staff:

http://www.justusboys.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=130

In the mean time, your thread is inappropriate, and not a constructive way to gain the attention of Moderators in an attempt to discredit them towards the community.

Wrong! This is a poster who has made over 2,100 posts over the past 5 years. Sadly, Internet forums become cock sucking the mods almost immediately, and any charge otherwise brings out the shepple screaming "guilty until proven innocent" contingent.

Why does freedom and openness of speech require a private, walled off, forum where the user is simply banned for complaining, and the general board has no clue what has happened.

And people wonder why Internet forums are dying off in favor of social forums such as Facebook. Go figure!

I have not noted that moderators do not like people of faith.

Evidence that will support this claim would be appreciated.

I have noted that the OP has, and continues to conduct a politically orchestrated campaign on this site's politic's forum firmly focused on denigrating Israel's policies towards the Palestinians.

As others have suggested, the best way to query or air a grievance would be via the Ask The Moderator forum, however, as you've started this in public, I'm more than happy to answer in public as the information I'm about to give is freely available via your posting history for any member to see.

Since you started posting again since your break last October, there are only 2 of your posts that have been edited.

One was to add quote tags to make it clear which part of your opening post was an article excerpt and which part was your own words, and the second was your opening post to the "Israel We Bless Thee..." thread.

You weren't censored because of your religious views, your post was edited because it didn't follow the guidelines for that forum which clearly state
When quoting from a published source, do not paste the entire content from that source into your post unless it is clearly in the public domain (not copyrighted). Snip an excerpt from the source, enclose the snippet within quote tags, and give proper credit to the original publication. An online link to the full content from the original publisher is required. Full “cut and paste” sources may be fully truncated by a Moderator, where only the link remains, so please provide your synopsis of the article for discussion.
Facebook's copyright laws do not come into play, JUB's guidelines DO. In addition, from what I can see, whoever posted the article on Facebook, edited it from the original for some reason. A Moderator truncating an article and also pointing out that it has been altered from the original does not equal 'not liking people of faith' in my book.

I should also add that one post was also deleted, however that wasn't because of anything that you said - it was part of a 'cluster-fuck' of 20 posts that were deleted in the middle of a thread that had gone off-topic.

Other than that, I can find nothing negative about your posting here over the last 5years that you've been a member.

You've had a full verbatim post changed to a link so as to comply with copyright laws. It's been explained to you and you don't accept the explanation. That about sums things up.

I have been an active member since September 2011. I have very strong views on faith, religion, the Church. I have seen no indication that expression of views in such areas is being inhibited.

Quite frankly, from your comments in this thread and in http://www.justusboys.com/forum/showpost.php?p=7870279&postcount=1, you are showing yourself as bordering on being a flagellant rather than the rational professor of any religious view, prompted, it would seem, by survivor's guilt.

I am religious and I never had problems on the forum.

I'm sorry to hear that you had to endure and go through such a loss.

Thank you.

Is this because you remain faithful to your late partner?

There are several reasons for it, but I suppose that could indeed be one of them.

In what way?

This is addressed in another thread, but I will try to be brief. Basically I have been more involved with my churches (I go to two of them, one in Paris, one in Geneva), I devote more time to my charities than I had been before, I guess you could say that I have turned more to my Church and to its activities as a source of comfort and belonging after the loss of my partner.

This. Politics makes animals of us all. No one is left unscathed. Everyone has an opinion, and everyone is entitled to disagree with you or him or her.

The point I was trying to make was simply that I have been accused of everything from being a racist to being anti-Semitic, to wanting gay people to stop having sex...you name it! The "moderators" do not jump in and edit these remarks or censor them in any way. I cannot describe to you the amount of abuse I have endured here. It is why I stopped coming for as long as I did.

As to your last statement, that is precisely the point of why I started this thread. It is always the response of people with no understanding to say "if you don't like it, just go!" As a matter of principle, I would like a "moderator" to simply explain his position. And then I will happily go.

I disagree. I believe that, if people can post their private parts all over the place then I can certainly have a discussion about something which I feel needs to be discussed. Private parts are appropriate, but my opinions are not? Are you a "moderator"? You sound like one.

You again have entered extraneous opinions about me into the discussion that have nothing to do with the topic at hand. You really must stop doing that. Honestly.
