What angst we have to go through to be able to live our lives. There is such fear involved with being open and honest with those we love. But, in the long run, it is for the best. Dave and Ra's commitment to each other is what is most important. Great chapter, JAG.

I just love this story ... Coming out is the only way especially if you are in love with someone, but there is a price to pay. I lost all my high school friends but I was at University anyway. My family took it badly culminating in my father taking a swing at me and with me knocking him out - They would not accept my Lover. We did not speak for 5 years until they apologized ... Most of us have lived through something similar ...

Steve is not handling this well at all.
He's quite insistent that Ra is HIS Best Friend, NOT Dave.
Is he straight, homophobic, or ?

You keep things moving and us guessing.

I tried that - wasn't working quite right - I got the e-mail that told me to click on link - I did, it took me to forum overview, but I didn't see any instructions on how to get password reset.

I've entered an issue - haven't heard back, yet.
I just sent Corny a PM begging for help.

I didn't think I was this technically illiterate- I'm going to chalk it up to my isp and/or Vista and Firefox 3.5.

Wow! JAG, that was intense. I suspected Steve would overreact and I am not surprised. I will give him a little slack though. I have a feeling he is hurt and confused with this whole set of events. I hope he will come around and accept both Ra and Dave for who they are. On the other hand, he could be vindictive and spread the word before they can. Again, only the author knows for sure and all we can do is speculate....lol Also, I'm glad they found a cheap flat together. Nothing better than setting up housekeeping with "early homosexual", as we used to say. Orange crates and cement blocks make excellent bookcases......lol

"Please don't leave me"? Aw, how sweet. Good chapter. Chapters like this where they just talk definitely make them seem more believable. I'm liking this story more and more.

A great chapter - Rawiri isn't 100% bold and confident. He does have his frailties - his doubts.

An that's when Dave, mate, picks up the slack, takes the reigns of confidence and security. Just like a real couple!

Oh, how vulnerable and fragile we are. Ra and Dave both have witnessed this in just this short time into their relationship. But, together they will grow in strength, particularly since the ruru has appeared again. I really enjoy how you weave the spiritual elements of the Maori culture into this.
