Somewhere, Keith Olbermann is sticking pins in a Bill O'Reilly voodoo doll: Fox News' ratings, TVNewser reports, are down since August of last year. Like, way down. Like down 28 percent in primetime among all viewers, down 20 percent in primetime in the "money demo" (viewers aged 25-54) and down 7 percent in daytime viewership overall.

Then again, you like rabid hatemongerer Michael Savage, so we'll just consider the source and move on.I actually like Glenn Beck. He's way cool 8)
The point that is being missed here is that FOX has the most horrific spin team ever...
owned.![]()
With each new "journalist" tantrum by O'Reilly or Geraldo or whomever, FOX cements its status as a showcase for lunatics.
It ain't news...it's a freakin' sideshow. I applaud the Dems' decision.

I'm sure the folks over at the 700 Club,
would any of the republicans running to replace king george get us the hell out of 1raq?
democratic primaries are not for reaching out to republicans
they are for interparty decisions
there is no good reason to consider a republican entertainment station for that process. it gives them proprietary rights to clips that they will use to misrepresent what they have said
that is the bottom line when it comes to pols trusting an outlet
they have to trust that they will not be misrepresented
since fox took a case to court and won the right to intentionally lie to the public, its easy to see why they made the choice they made
huffinton post.....
Fox News' Ratings Take a Nosedive

Somewhere, Keith Olbermann is sticking pins in a Bill O'Reilly voodoo doll: Fox News' ratings, TVNewser reports, are down since August of last year. Like, way down. Like down 28 percent in primetime among all viewers, down 20 percent in primetime in the "money demo" (viewers aged 25-54) and down 7 percent in daytime viewership overall. In fact, the only place Fox is up is during the day, when they managed a ratings increase of just 2 percent, and even then only in the money demo.
And lest you think this is an industry-wide trend, consider this: over the same time period, CNN and MSNBC are up. CNN's up 35 percent during the day -- 46 percent in the money demo -- and up 21 percent in primetime overall, 25 percent in the money demo. MSNBC's ratings increases aren't quite as impressive -- up 6 percent in primetime overall, 8 percent in the money demo, and up 36 percent in the money demo during the day, 26 percent overall.
We, of course, are Fair and Balanced here, so there won't be any celebrating later tonight. Certainly we will not be opening any champagne. That would be wrong.

I guess when one is foaming at the mouth about anything Fox,one isn't noticing the liberal Democratic nature of the Congressional Black Caucus. And I have said I don't always agree with what I see there, sometimes it isn't so "fair and balanced" and I get pissed too.But I look at their overall structure, they have some first class correspondents and not every show pushes the conservative bias so aggressively...sticking to the more news oriented shows, they are pretty good compared to the personality-driven(conservative of course)ones. What's intriguing me here is that this has become a wrangle over Fox News, except for a few valiant attempts by such as Sausageater to try to bring in some serious considerations.
What about the other sponsor? Aren't the Democrats running for president snubbing the black community? And what does it say that the black folks were comfortable with sharing sponsorship with Fox, but these upper-class, highly educated white folks (apologies to Obama) aren't? Will we be hearing Republicans' comments about how Democrats only accept the black community when it plays by their rules?
I keep wondering when reporters are going to learn how to do statistics.
The information in this snippet is useless -- without a base figure, "up 21 percent" doesn't tell us a thing -- it could be up from 1% to 1.21%, for all the reader knows. There's no basis for comparing Fox to CNN at all, just some hand=waving about changes.
Oh, well, I suppose Chance or someone will bring in real figures.

Their "star journalist" Bill O'Reilly has been called to task today about calling Mexicans "Wetbacks" and suggesting that the black vocal group performing later in the evening were "out in the parking lot stealing our hubcaps."
Trust me, Americans don't need people who watch or support Fox News.
