I hated this episode with a passion. The Susan/Mike thing is so old it is molded bread, and Susan acting irrationally old, old, old.

Bree finally made pot roast for Orson after putting him off with her busy schedule. He had every right to be pissed she was not using his name. Someone pointed out that her son had done the same thing as Orson and she didn't demand he go to jail. She was crying because she realized through his insistence that she was a selfish cunt.

Lynette and the computer was pathetic. She couldn't see where it was going? It's a frigging son, and Tom realized she was doing wrong but didn't put his foot down as hard as he normally would. For a smart woman she is as dumb as a rock.

Didn't we have the same kind of threatening going on last season from The black neighbors hiding a secret. KAtherine and her ex-husband and daughter, too?

I am really bummed by that as well, you would have thought when they jumped ahead five years they would have written in cure for Carlos. It is getting old, ridicules and perhaps even insulting to those with blind relatives or friends.

Big shout out to Eva for allowing her character to look a little haggard in the new season, it works well and she is a real trooper for going along with it.
No vanity here just do it for the show.

Do you think that this is the reason why she has gained weight in real life? For the show? Just curious since all of the tabloids are trying to say she is pregnant, or she is getting fat.

I can not imagine that Mark Cherry or the other execs of the show would have allowed Eva to let herself go like that between seasons. Nor do I think Eva would do that to herself. Sounds like it was done for the show, basically a whole new character was created. Just my opinion.

Eva didn't let herself go. Supposedly she is wearing a fat suit to make her look like she does. I think her storyline and Carlos' blindness is ridiculous.

Andrew is definitely gay. A few seasons back he was having sex with Ryan Carnes. He also slept with Bree's b/f, the guy from HBO's OZ. Now he seems asexual and just a background extra. He's not being utilized. Marc Cherry is gay and he doesn't utilize his gay characters on his own show. What's up with that?

Nah I am not buying into that, I think she gained weight for the show. I remember seeing her on TMZ where she looked heavier and was asked about the weight gain. In addition her hair and lack of make up is a big change for the character.

The show doesn't need any more gay characters because they don't commit to the ones on there now. Is Andrew even still gay? There was never a lot of certainty with that one, especially if you remember his ice cream metaphor in that church scene some seasons ago. And the gay neighbors are just kind of annoying, typical gay stereotypes. The only thing that makes them stand out is that they are in a long standing relationship and not around just to be friends of the housewives. They're still little more than comic relief, though, and I'd be astounded if they actually got a serious, intriguing plot line which humanizes them beyond the broad characters they currently are.

Agreed, although I'd give DH a little more credit than that for their gay storylines on the first two seasons. Andrew coming out, Bree's "I'd love you even if you were a murderer", Justin being confused, Bree leaving him on the side of the road, etc.

However, I can't stand the stereotypical nonsense that followed, like all the talk about Andrew's "leather pants", Gabby's feminine little designer (?) friend, the gay couple, the whiny guy whose boyfriend dumped him, etc. You can have good gay storylines without resorting to stereotypes so often. The creator is gay, SOME depth please.

I loved how Mrs. McCluskey seemed protective of Edie in the beginning of the episode.

I also loved the Susan/Gabby storyline - "There's waffles in the freezer!!"

Did anyone else think it was odd that Danielle returned and didn't share a single scene with her brother? I mean, Bree had a party and says it's good to have her whole family together again. But Andrew wasn't there. And in the final scene when Danielle is leaving, Andrew is just down the street at Gabi's house. That seemed really dumb to me.

Beyond that, Neal McDonough is hot!

Eva did an interview in the mag Allure, and said she put on a few pounds over the summer for her role, everyone jumped to the conclusion that she was pregnant.
"I stopped working out and gained about seven pounds over the summer, which is a lot for a small person. Every magazine is tearing me apart, I never went up a size. I just got rounder. I'm still a size 0.

Was Mrs McClusky involved in any way in the Nora getting shot storyline? Because the way Edie's husband was trying to create a rift between Lynette and Tom made me think he's going to be after them for perhaps getting rid of Kayla. I thought his speech on Lynette making him getting rid of all his old things and extra baggae was quite important, though maybe i was looking into it too much to try and find answers that aren't there lol

He was sort of there. When they are sitting down for dinner, you can see him standing by the door. Don't know why they didn't use him more.

I like the Susan/Gaby storyline...they haven't been too many intermixed stories lately...meaning where the housewives share the screen.
