Desperate Housewives - Season Five

I think Susan has a lot of good moments, but I think she was best when she was with her daughter.

The Susan and Jackson storyline is extremely boring so far. I'm hoping her storylines pick up in the coming episodes. If not I think they should get rid of her and bump Katherine up to a lead.
I'm so tired of the same romantic crap over and over again.

The Scavo storyline just got extremely intense. I must have said 'oh my god' more times this episode than any episode in a long while. When we found out she was pregnant my jaw dropped. Where did Porter get all that money? Is he leaving with her? Lynette seemed a bit too naive in that last scene, I am curious as to how this will play out.
Why do you believe the mother when she says she's pregnant? We know Porter used a condom, because the empty wrapper Tom found last week is how he knew someone was having sex. I know condoms aren't 100% effective, etc., but it makes me pretty suspicious of whether the "pregnancy" is real.

To answer the question quoted above, I'd guess his money came from the underground gambling operation he and his twin were running we saw on the season premier.

There are absolutely no sparks between Susan and Jackson. The rest of the storylines are going well. Though it looks to me like the have "de-gayed" Bree's son a bit. I was hoping he would have seduced, then blackmailed, the guy who stole the money and the security CD.

I knew that was Thomas from The Bold and The Beautiful

i SO thought that's where they were gonna go with that!!!

I think it would be cool if Karen and Roberta got their own spinoff show. Every week they'd have to work together to solve a mystery or something. They'd start as amateur sleuths and as the series progresses they could open their own PI agency.

It'd be like 'Murder She Wrote' meets 'The Golden Girls' meets 'CSI' with a healthy dose of the dark humor of 'Desperate Housewives.'

Kathryn Joosten and Lily Tomlin are both great actresses, have great chemistry and I'm finding their storyline to be the most interesting of S5 so far.

Would anyone else enjoy a Karen + Roberta spin-off?

^I agree. I'm so glad they brought Lily Tomlin to the show. And I love that dark humor about everything.

Anyone remember that movie 9 to 5? Hilarious!

I see they are finally bringing back Andrews gay life. He is getting married to a man...about time

Well it looks like all you guys that have bitched that there wasn't enough gay content (Andrew/gay neighbors) on DH are in for a good time next week.

And it looks like Dave's target is Tom and/or Lynette. I was suspicious of this, since Tom was the first person Dave approached about the band and then manipulated Lynette into letting Tom play.

Last nights episode was ho-hum. I enjoyed it, but something was missing.

I had a feeling the doctor was seeing Andrew the moment he started talking about moving in with someone. Then he made the phone call and I was like 'Yipeeeee!' :D

I dont like the writers making it seem like Mike and Susan are this great love.

I dont really want them back together.

In real life relationships sometimes just dont work no matter how much you love the person. However, you can still be good friends with your ex andraise your children while moving on and finding happiness with someone else.

A couple weeks ago teh writers really made me believe that Susan and her new guy are a genuine couple so to throw Mike back in the mix didnt sit well with me.

Gabbys daughter got fatter. I dont know why the camera gave her so much screentime it was off putting.

Lynette looked confused when the rapist said there was no baby, there never was. What i got from that was that there really is a baby but because of what Lynette said the rapist understood and said that there is no baby since she intends never to contact Porter again.

It was also very sad when Lynette lied to Porter about not knowing where the rapist was after asking for honesty.

Brees story was not that hot last night.

It may have been sad, but it was the right thing to do. She made the right decision in order to protect her son.

Porter's story reminds me of my brother's when he was younger. He lost his virginity when 17 to a much older woman who said she was pregnant. She never went to the doctor and half the time said her tubes were tied. My brother married her and she put him through hell with the later heroin addiction and the credit trouble and bad checks that he was responsible for since they were married.

I took that as her admitting she lied to Porter about it to get him to leave town with her. Then when she was the only one he had left, she'd either tell him the truth, there was no baby, or fake a miscarriage.

Then if you look at it that way, Lynette's reasons for lying to Porter make more sense. Not only would she have to tell her son that she paid the woman he loves to leave town, but that that woman had lied to him and completely betrayed his trust in her.

This was a good episode, although I am anxious to find out how the Scavo crisis is going to be solved...

I am glad Andrew and Alex are going to have a stable relationship, and I love how Gabby and Carlos got even closer than they were already. I loved how she explained the watch was a knockoff :D

Where is Mrs. McLuskey?
