How do you respond to this question, in general?
Take today for instance, I got my haircut. As the barber casually yaked away, he asked if I had a girlfriend who was making me get a haircut. I just said no, that I single. Which is true, I am.

I'm just wondering when people ask you this in general, because it is a very general question, how do you answer it (especially if you're single)? Just just say "NO." "No, I'm single" or do you say "No, I'm gay?"

I just said I was single, and left it at that.

If someone was to ask me that today, I'd say, "No, I have a boyfriend".

If I was single, I'd chuckle, and reply with "No." ..

Whatever happens next, happens..

Depends on who's asking. Sometimes "no", sometimes "FUCK no!".

I actually can't remember the last time I was asked this. Maybe I'm more gay-acting than I used to be.

Now, I'd say "I've got a boyfriend."

When I was single, I'd probably just say "No, I'm single". Sometimes, I get really chatty with somebody cutting my hair, and I might say "I broke up with my boyfriend last month." But if she's sort of droning on in that not-interested fashion, or I don't feel like talking much, I'd just say "I'm single."

I don't like talking to people who cut my hair. It is just weird. They normally ask a few stupid questions which I answer but when I close my eyes they leave me alone.

Sometimes just "no," sometimes "no, and that would be 'boyfriend'" if I'm in a talkative mood.

I've always just said "No."

When I was 14, this girl I knew told me "You NEED a girlfriend." and actually fixed me up with this nerdy little Asian girl who worked at Subway and made us exchange numbers. My strict ethnic mother was extremely pissed about that. . .but even moreso when she found out I was gay and didn't have to worry about me talking to girls. :p

If I were in a relationship, I'd answer that I had a boyfriend.

If I were single, I'd say 'no.'

If it was clear the person wanted to get into a discussion about women, I'd answer', "Girls? Ew. Cooties."

I've wanted a rich younger girlfriend for quite some time.

But the damned wife and boy friend both say NO.

Spoil sports :grrr:
