Do you think more advantage to gays who prefer older guys and disadvantage to gays who prefer younger guys?

Recently I encountered a thread about older guy who dating younger "trouble-some" young gay guy which raised concern of a good friend.
That story isn't new, younger guys tend to be perceived as flaky parasitic twats to older guys.
But Im glad I think Im far from that dilemma, Im craving older guys instead, they're more like my type ^^

Since we're getting older anyway and not getting much younger, do you think it's more advantage/convinience to partnering guys around your age/older than you rather than to craving "younger" guys? What percentage of success dating younger/older guys?

I wish we had the pick of guys (well not now, but when I was single) Older guys that are actively up for seeing younger guys are super picky and will turn down loads of people from my experience. God I turn 25 soon and will be seen as too old for most guys who are willing/want a younger lover!

I'm 30, so I guess I belong in the "older guy" category. My boyfriend just turned 24, so he belongs in the "younger guy" group.

Do I just date him because he's a twink? I'd like to think there's more to our relationship than just an older guy seeking a younger guy and vice versa.

We found each other online. After a year of dating, I asked him to move in with me. Might as well to save the money he was paying in rent. And since he didn't have to pay rent anymore, he could go back to school.

Does this mean he's a parasite? Again, I'd like to think not. He shares the house chores with me. I just bought a new house that needed a little reno (change carpet to wood flooring, paint job, etc.), and he's been helping me do that as well. And once he gets his degree in finance or accounting from Loyola U. in Chicago, I'm pretty sure he'll make more money than me.

My point is I'm very aware that almost everyone around us view our relationship as me being the sugar daddy and him being the parasite. There's nothing we can do or say right now that will convince them otherwise. We'll just have to wait until the day when I'll be the one leaching off his income for booze and drugs LOL.

Anyway, I'm sure couples composing of a sugar daddy and a parasitic twink exist out there. We're not that because we're working towards a goal. I'd rather him going to school now and help me with the finances later than continue with his low pay warehouse job and never going anywhere career wise.

I think OP means 20+ age difference.

In my case, I think sometimes people assume I´m a gold digger (as my man says, what gold?), but after they get to know me, they realize it´s not the case. My bf´s family is very accepting and they are all very friendly with me; my family was a bit hesitant at first because they found creepy that and old guy would go for a much younger one, but time showed them.

One of the main issues is probably the younger man's career. It worked for girls before feminism and more than a few who can pull it off now, because getting a husband was their career and leaving them out of pocket would have been scandalous. What happens when the sugar daddy of a long term parasite moves on one way or another? The younger guy's spent "the best years of his life" in a non-job and now he's going on middle aged and has to compete the new young generation for a living and/or another man. I expect it can work if you stay independent, but for those who don't, I'm not surprised they're flaky. So I should think the moral for older men is "Stick to boys who don't need you. Or short-sighted fools."

I'm guessing older guys chasing young guys don't of much experience sexually.

I do think its quite clear that when a poster talks about older/younger relationships, they are not talking about someone having a relationship with someone 3/4 years older - not even just 10 years. But more likely at least 20+, perhaps 30.
