A little more honesty, please.
The article linked plainly discussed race, even having a quote by an official that this was but yet another example of racism and the targeting of black kids. It pointed out the race of the injured kid and the one doing the injuring.
From the article you linked:
The article title
From the article, third sentence:
From Paragraph 4:
Mr. Nasheed is a film producer, having made documentaries about black history, and seems to have elevated the incident possibly to elevate his own publicity or visibility, if Yahoo qualifies as publicity.
The article continues with the theme of racism to the end of it.
For most people who have dealt with schools and moms, it looks pretty much like an injured kids mom going outside the school to get redress. Why that suddenly is racist is not demonstrated or proven. There's hardly a history of charging black kids in public schools with assault during schoold when it is short of an actual attack or brawl.
This case isn't any part of a pattern, but a one off. It's no more valid an example of racism than is anything Trump elevates to such moronic levels. It was just a handy stick to grab in the culture wars, and Mr. Nasheed did the grabbing. And, as much as I'm against keeping immigrants out, the reference to that was wholly irrelevant.
