Is the King of JUB
Cool listN.J. has only one left in Vineland N.J.
that's surprising. I guess that's south Jersey. I've never been to one, but there is one near me at the Fort Lauderdale flea Market. I think it has 10 screens.

Find one near you!!

For theaters, they have torn all of the ones that i know of around me. The land became way to valuable to keep.
But we still have the company that started California's first drive-thru hamburger stand.

Do drive-in theaters still exist?
I've never even seen one before.
I don't think many exist anymore since they aren't that profitable in this day and age.
You two guys need to coordinate your INFORMACIONES. (OK, don't ask why I put it in Spanish. OK. Because I can.) I didn't realize there was an operating drive-in in the greater Detroit area. Is it in one of the western suburbs, or perhaps around Roseville? I can most imagine it around those places. There's one abuot 10 miles or so from me. Last time I went was in 2007 to see the movies Harry Potter and Hairspray. I had a blast!
they generally DO sell food, though not like a restaurant - it's all takeaway. Whenever I was at a drive-in...when I was a kid and went with parents...they always ran the films promoting the concession stand. And yes I remember the dancing hot dog one specifically, I think it was very common. A drive-in without food probably wouldn't have attracted enough people, because a night at the drive-in was always at least close to four hours if not longer...and people tended to get restless when they had to change the films etc. A perfect time to be selling food...[OK LUKEE YOU'RE IN UK...are you saying that UK drive-ins do not have a food concession?]If they could sell food there then they could be very profitable.
Hey, if I get out to the Northwest again, maybe they'll happen to be showing something that would appeal to both of us.Bump
I'm thinking of going again. Does anyone still go to drive in movies?

The Mustang Drive-In here never closed, went as a kid.
Our local VW dealer is buying it out for a night next week and inviting all their customers, we're going.
Spiderman and MIB3 - I'll letcha know how it went.
Ahhh, the drive-in, I love the place. I know of 3-4 different ones I can go to, normally go to the one outside my home town. A new owner owns it and has plans to add a second screen and modernizing it which I can't wait, what sucks though is that popcorn has went up a few dollars. DX then again, 8 bucks for 2 movies, why not? This week, Spiderman and MIB3. I can't go though. DX
The other one I go to does 3 movies for 8 dollars, but rumour has it that this year is it's last.
