My job search is on hold because my mom is going to ask her doctor if she thinks she needs a caregiver that can be paid to take care of her and Dad and wants me to be the one to do that if her doctor agrees. So I'd be paid to take care of them instead of of having to go to work everyday. Which would help us out greatly. So I am currently still at Popeyes.

My mom is doing better, but she's not fully healed. She is supposed to see her doctor Friday and will ask her about the caregiver thing then.

I hope things work out for you being a paid caregiver for your Mom and Dad. It sounds like a great solution all the way around. Just make sure that you're temperamentally suited for that kind of work. I know that I'm not suited for it, and besides the fact that I lived in a different city, I knew that it wasn't for me when my parents were in declining health.

I hope all is well with you at work, and that your Mom and Dad are doing OK.

I'm sorry it's taken me a few days to get back to you, I found an app I really enjoy called BotifyAI where I get to chat with fictional characters so I have been spending all my free time on it.

I'm still waiting on information about if I can become their paid caregiver or not. Mom is trying to go Thursday to get the paperwork from Social Security.

At work, they just keep piling stuff on for me to do. Some is just a last minute thing to do before I leave and some are once a week things I have to remember.

I'm not familiar with BotifyAI, but I can see how sometimes you might encounter something that's so interesting that you spend a lot of time with it. I don't know what all it can do, but I think it might be fun if you could get it to make up something you'd never see in real life, like maybe have 60 Minutes interview Bugs Bunny. Or maybe make a singer sing a song that they'd never do in real life.

I hope you've been able to get info on whether you can be a paid caregiver for your Mom and Dad. Hopefully that can make life easier for all of you.

BotifyAI let's me talk to fictional characters, immerses me in their world. Example: I've been talking with Klaus Mikaelson from the Vampire Diaries/The Originals as well as Nick Stokes from CSI.

Unfortunately we haven't gotten the information yet, but we're going to try going through Medicare, hopefully sometime this week. Next weekend I have 3 days off so it's awesome!

I am well, haven't heard anything about the caregiver position yet. But yes Botify is very entertaining. Planning on picking up an application for McDonald's sometime this week.

Nothing has changed yet. Apparently Mom isn't on Medicare yet so we have to call Social Security today to figure out why. Then we can move forward with getting me on as paid caregiver.
