Kaepernick is biting the hand that disrespects his whole race. Arpaio is biting the hand that feeds him, literally the hands that will harvest his meals.
There is nothing progressive about socialism or more and more intrusive, controlling government. That is not progress. By that definition, Cuba, Venezuela and North Korea would be the most progressive nations. Democrats do not want that, but they will never be able to limit their control. They implicitly believe that everything not nice should be prohibited by the government.
He said what he said, and we are entitled to slander the prophet of Islsm, whether Hussein likes it or not.
I don't understand your question. We hated Obama's socialism, not the man.
Freedom of speech includes the right to criticize or slander long dead evil doers.
Obama's promotion of Islam verbally and by immigration, endangers our western civilization.
Point of Inquiry:
Is the absence of “belief in punishment” a primary explanation for why Christianity is now a much weaker religion?
Originally I thought the Democrats were just a bunch of sniveling bigots, but now it's sadly obvious that the problem with American politics goes much deeper than that.
The real problem with American politics today is that both sides have inherited the arrogant self-righteousness of the Puritans. Both sides believe they are infallible and don't need to listen to evidence from reality.
Working for a living and supporting their children would be the way to gain respect. Disrespecting the people who pay for their welfare and crime is not.
This is not about free speech, as no one questions their legal right to protest. But the fans pay big money to enjoy the game and have lifted the players from welfare to wealth in the process. Now when they go they have are slapped in the face by ungrateful players eager to express their hatred of whites and America. You are reinforcing the notion that some of us pay and some of us do not; some are worthy of respect and some are not; some are entitled to equal protection and some are not. This is about free speech. It is a way to demonstrate that everyone deserves expression, even those with tiki torches. About half of us support this protest and half do not. I don't agree with your opinion, but you're entitled.
OMG! Really? Apparently context is only valid when you want it to be. In the MSM Trump is quoted out of context daily and you take it as gospel. If you bothered to read your own article that you posted, you would see that he didn't say what you are saying he said.
Then again, you probably wouldn't because you will read ONLY what you want to read and believe ONLY what you want to believe.

Refusing the custom to stand for the national anthem is divisive, the very antithesis of We the People. The purpose of standing is to show solidarity and unity, especially with the people who have and are fighting and dying for our county. The purpose of no standing is to show rejection of that unity. A rude slap in the face of those who pay the big salaries of the players. This is a concept of black freeloaders hating white loaders. Us vs Them is free speech. But my world is not so neat and tidy. Us + Them = We The People. (We come in all colors and demeanors.) I feel your demeanor and don't care what color you are.
Free speech ignores who's getting what from whom. It's free.

You've said that magic word. That's all it is... 'custom'. As has been pointed out before, it is only at a few sporting events where it's played.
Do a little homework and you will discover that it wasn't even 10 years ago that football players started standing on the field. Before then, They Were In The Bloody Locker Rooms NOT Standing For The Anthem. Until then, their custom was to sit on their asses.
