Fat shaming cards

Fat Acceptance is the stupidest fucking movement to ever exist. There's an easy fix for your problem, lardasses; it's called Calories In, Calories Out. I've lost 15 pounds in the last month and a half without even exercising by cutting out junk food and boredom eating, as well as tracking my calories. If I can do it, anyone can.

With that attitude..don't be surprised if you gain it all back..and then some...

When I went to AA at first..I cringed at the people who considered themselves "above it all" and "superior" to people who drank...they made my skin crawl. Furthermore..they insisted that in order to remain sober we had to cut out contact with all of the "undesirables". Well.....I am not an idiot and instead of huddling in the corner with that lot of cunts....I instead embraced my drinking friends and customers a little more than usual.....when they all had shots I drank OJ or 7 up WITH them....fuck hanging out with the AA queens from hell....

...and *sigh*..I was right. I am sober STILL...30+ years later...most of the little snits who tried to shame people who drank went out drinking again within a year.

There is a lesson there...hope you figure it out.

Rather than calling them names, why not let them know you are willing to walk with them on their journey of a healthier lifestyle?
Overweight people know they are overweight, no need to tell them that by shaming them. Let them know, by your actions, that you accept them just the way they are (don't we all need that?). Kindness and love will encourage change. Shaming leads to despair and self-defeat. People have enough of that already.

Probably because that would require an ounce of empathy and a willingness to help, when it's much easier to be a nasty prick to everyone for the lulz.

This is impressive. Few people have a metabolism that can burn off 2 pounds a week without exercise.

It's called "healthy eating".

But there still is nothing as offensive as some 20 something who is still able to pack away 2500 calories a day of garbage food and burn it all off without any exercise calling overweight people names.

Except my daily caloric intake is normally under or around 1800, which is perfectly average for someone who's 1.82m.

With that attitude..don't be surprised if you gain it all back..and then some...

That's why it's not called a diet, it's called a lifestyle change.

The question is, how much contempt do you have in your "lifestyle" and why do you need it?

If you have something positive going on, you really divert from that to flame obese people.

Your drug addiction was likely more self-destructive than your weight problem, but I didn't see people on JUB shaming you for either.

So, where does this new nasty streak come from? Is it internalized anger working outward?

Sometimes contempt is what saves lives.

I was only actively using for a few years, not my entire life.

Part of it came from sleep deprivation, part of it came from waking up and realizing that I was killing myself by shoving cheeseburgers and donuts down my face hole.

Quite the contrary: obese people save lives, as I've already pointed out:

One is inclined to suppose that the particular runts who are constantly afraid that an Islamist attack may kill them actually should be utterly happy that there are obese persons.

Reason:
The runts' survival chances massively increase with every obese person!
A runt can always hide behind an obese person, or under an obese person's corpse!

Trust me. The reality is that most people do not have a metabolism that allows them to burn off 2 pounds per week without exercise, even with healthy eating and an intake of around or even under 1800 calories.

As I noted, with 5000 calories burned in additional aerobic exercise each week, I was only able to drop 1 pound per week.

I was wondering where you got that 2lbs/wk number, but then I realized my mistake in my post. I forgot to put ~ in front of 15lbs. I honestly am not sure the exact number, but I know it's no less than 10 pounds and no more than 15. I don't keep excruciating track of numbers, though I do weigh myself every week or so, I just go by how my clothing fits. I also was mistaken about the timeframe, but I just checked MFP and I've been on this weight loss journey for about 2 months, 1 week.

So if we use real money, it was something between 4.535 kg and 8.164 kg in "about" 10 weeks?

One is inclined to suppose that there was some metabolism-enhancing medication involved… [an antidepressant e.g.?]

No. Just self-control. Vaping has also helped curb my addiction to sweets.

Wow, smoking (real or fake) cigarettes, that's an excellent idea! It's utterly healthy, I guess!

Do some research and then get back to me, will you love?

You can be assured, I did, bunny :)

The so called "self-control" immediately next to "Vaping" really doesn't sound like a contradiction in terms, no, not at all, totally completely clearly never ever would it sound inconsistent

Vaping is called harm reduction, you simpleton. I didn't start vaping specifically so I'd cut back on sweets, that was a nice side-effect.

LOL, your so called "self-control" not worth a brass farthing if you must use such a bent pseudo-logic.

Self-control with food ingestion vs. self-control with nicotine ingestion are two completely different things.

Sory, kallipolis, but an article full of "Won't someone please think of the children" scare tactics doesn't really strike me as an unbiased source. It's obvious that adults enjoy fruit and candy flavours too. The simple fact is that yes, nicotine is toxic, but it's much less harmful than tobacco. And that's my last thoughts on the subject of vaping here. Attacking my preference towards becoming a non-smoker is outside the scope of this thread.
