Re: 90's Flashback Thread

^

Like Hanson in the 90's, and B5 in the 2000's, i avoided bands with kids like the plague.

ewww...i can't believe you'd mention Hanson. i'm sorry...just bad memories of those boys kinda freaked me out a bit.

Re: 90's Flashback Thread

Because of Hanson, we have High School Musical. And therefore, they are directly responsible for Zac Efron.

I don't care if that's a true statement, but it's something to think about. After all, Hanson DID pave the way for Disney-pop styled music.

(by the by, i personally believe Celebrity Skin is a subpar song... but, I also believe what Avril Lavrigne was trying to do with Girlfriend, Hole did with Celebrity Skin)

i embarrassed myself more than a few times randomly yelling "When i wake up...in my MAKE UP!!!!"

Re: 90's Flashback Thread

I think SWV and 702 were SO much better than Total... but i miss the groups all the same.

i think "Steelo" was the only song by them i really liked. i dunno...702 just bugged me. SWV was THE SHIT though. "I'm So Into You" is still one of my all time favorite songs.

Re: 90's Flashback Thread

... I totally don't miss 90's music >_>. Any decade that gave rise to the spice girls, N'SYNC, Backstreet boys, Boyzone, Take That, West Life, Britney Spears, Christiana Aguilara, East 17, New Kids On The Block, Blazin' Squad, Destiny's Child, 2Pac, Eminem, Tupac Shakur and Robbie Williams (yes a member of Take That but deserves to be put on twice.) does not count as a good year for music for me. Totally not.

Though it did have The X-files, Buffy and Slidders =D.

Re: 90's Flashback Thread

oh! remember the Creep video where the guy was being chased by a car or something? that video gave me nightmares.

Re: 90's Flashback Thread

anyone remember the really quick swing fad we had in the late 90's?

i got caught up enough in it to learn the single lindy.

Re: 90's Flashback Thread

Wow... I really do like (almost) all of the music mentioned in this thread--including Hanson.

Don't worry willsboy84, I remember Another Bad Creation. They were part of the "East Coast Family" mentioned in Boyz II Men's Motownphilly (along with Bell, Biv Devoe).

A great song about why he's still making music over twenty years later. My fellow Americans might not recognize his name, but you might remember this other song he wrote...
