Favourite Gay Character in TV/Film??

Uncle Paul
Ted Sheckler
Chip Chipperson

Jack, from KINGS.

I genuinely think that he was the most complex and interesting gay character ever to be portrayed on network TV... I still get really sad thinking about that show's cancellation.

THANK YOU!!! I loved that show. Honestly, I wish that it had been picked up by HBO. Who knows what they could have done with it. But yes, Jack was a fantastic character, caught between being true to himself, and living up to the expectations of the heir-apparent.

Besides him, I love Lafayette Reynolds from True Blood. He is unashamedly fabulous. He makes no pretense about who he is, and can throw down when the need arises. How glad am I that his character on the show far outlived his character in the books.

Jack Twist (Jake Gyllenhaal) from Brokeback Mountain is my ideal, there's no doubt! :-D

However, I've gotta say I also love the characters of Noah Mayer from ATWT, as well as Lafayette from True Blood.

Not sure I really appreciated her during the show's actual run, but watching a Buffy marathon this week has really increased my opinion of Tara. Never disliked her, I just never really got what an intregal part she played in the Scooby Gang.

I love her Tara. She had no real part in the scooby gang. they just said that to make her murder more dramatic

Luke and Noah from as the world turns.

They are relateable and likeable and all that stuff, and realistic.

Sooooooo have to disagree with everything you just said. Those 2 are the reason I stopped watching the show "live"--being able to fast forward through their scenes was awesome. I think I could tolerate them seperately, but together they're just one big, annoying, whiny mess.

I have to agree with you on those two.

I think the writers mess them up big time. It had gotten so bad that I couldn't watch their scenes without becoming annoyed.

Not too fond of the Luke/Reid pairing yet either. I what bothers me about that, is that gays & minorities are such a rarity on daytime tv, that they always have to tie them together.

What about Roger from American Dad. He is an Alien but he's always dressed in drag and loves things going up his ass. :-)

Calvin from "Greek" (ABC Family) ... I think he's hot and pretty cool. ..| What I really like about him and all the other gay characters on this show is that they are portrayed as very regular guys from next door.
