Recently, I stumbled across Youtube videos of F2M transgendered individuals undergoing hormone therapy. I am a gay male who was born biologically male, but I find these really fascinating for some reason. Something about the simple biology behind these incredibly pronounced changes is really interesting. The magic of video allows you to see the several-year-long transformation in a matter of minutes, and the gradual development of secondary sexual characteristics is strangely mind-blowing. It's amazing what a simple polycyclic hydrocarbon (a.k.a., testosterone) can do, simply by means of signal transduction thereby altering cellular metabolism and protein synthesis.

It also brings up interesting questions for me about the scientifically simple nature of the gender binary. That this one class of organic chemical compounds is the determining factor between what make me gay vs. straight -- whom I find attractive vs. whom I don't feel any physical pull towards. I don't mean to objectify these guys but I have to admit, they made me think about how majorly physical (as in the philosophical concept of physicalism) the mechanisms of sex actually are. As a head-in-the-clouds romantic, it's both disconcerting and intriguing to see how, before the transformation, I can acknowledge that they're very sweet guys, but I feel no physical attraction to them; after the transformation, there's something there for me that wasn't there before.

I hope these guys don't mind me posting these videos on this forum, but I liked these guys' transitions a lot:

Early stages of testosterone therapy (7 weeks). He actually seemed pretty masculine to begin with, but the change was really pronounced after a year on T:

It's easier for a woman to transform outwardly into a man, the difference is from m2f it's possible to create a lifelike vagina, but not a penis for f2m.

I probably would be fine with a FtM if I started getting feelings for one, but I don't have any inclination to track one down soecifically, if that makes any sense.

So many female to male transitions are so fucking hot.

Did Ya'll see Aiden on that MTV It Gets Better special?

He shits on 90% of the men I see everyday.

I think all three guys are attractive, especially the 2nd guy.

But when I think of the lack of penis, I feel like that would be a problem for me. I don't know if that makes me transphobic? I feel guilty about that tbh but I do wish them well and think they're hot. etc
I don't think it makes you transphobic in the same way that not being attracted to women doesn't make you a misogynist. Strangely, I don't think I'd be bothered about the lack of a penis. Not sure why, but it's never been a big factor for me. I've never really cared all that much about a guy's penis; seeing a guy full frontal adds nothing to my excitement that wasn't there before.

I've noticed that too and not even talking about the sex organs. Even looking at pics of people online, it seems that there are a lot more sloppily done MtF than vice versa.

I'd probably fuck Buck Angel in his ass and pussy. :)

They are all very good looking FtoMs. The first one looks like a cute twink. What I'm curious to know is how their sexual orientation tends to go? Are these transition males attracted to guys mostly or do they desire women? I'm physically attracted to F to Ms, but not sure how I'd react to sight of a vagina. (not mocking or making fun of them) I have only met one F to M in my life, and his BF is a gay guy. I assume majority of trans people whether F-M or M-F depend on the LGB community for social and sexual relationships in their lives.

I think it's sad that they equate masculinity with inflicting their bodies with dopey designs in permanent ink.

Most trans are considered gay by society before they come out as trans and then most of them are straight afterwards. If they want to blend in they would not be an active part of the LGBT community.

These are basically the way I think.

No, I feel the same way. It just means that you aren't pansexual. A pansexual's attraction doesn't lie in the natural gender binary, meaning that they're capable of being attracted to someone regardless of their gender identity or genital configuration. We're just gay, so we're used to a penis and it would be a big deal to us if our sexual partner didn't have one.

Or, in more crude speak: It's easier to turn a pole into a hole than it is to turn a hole into a pole.

MTF vaginoplasty has gotten so advanced, that even gynecologists can't tell the difference between a natural or constructed vagina until they notice there's no uterus or ovaries. Just like a natural vagina, a constructed vagina has a "clitoris", can self-lubricate, produces orgasmic sexual pleasure. . .basically everything except menstruate. The trade-off is that a lot of transgirls i've spoken to are these BIG, 6'4 muscular/stocky guys before they transition, so they never really "pass" as a female. Estrogen can't undo the effects that testosterone has on a person's body, but testosterone can induce a sort of "second puberty" if a woman were to take it long enough.

Anyways, it just amazes me how cruel society is to transgendered people, to the point where people are brutally assaulted or murdered because of that. . .similar to the way a lot of people treat gay men and women. It wasn't until I made an effort to be an ally to transpeople that I understood how straight allies must feel about gays. It's pretty remarkable.

It's interesting how my attraction for them changes... when they're in the beginning stages, I don't feel much, if any, attraction. But later on, I could definitely see myself liking these guys. It's almost confusing haha.

From what I've seen, the constructed penises look quite correct and fairly impressive except that they're only about as thick as my little finger and half as long.

I understand that this seems to be related to keeping the nerve endings intact to retain sexual pleasure, but the construction doesn't seem terribly functional. Not sure whether any additional lengthening can be done afterwards, though, without messing up the work which has been done surgically already - anyone have any idea?

Really? I've seen a couple of medical sites on this that show the results of phalloplasty. . .and it basically looks like just a flesh tube, and nothing at all like a penis. I've even seen some transmen say that they refuse to get "bottom surgery" because it's "just something to pee out of" and not a healthy penis.

I think a combination of gene and stem cell therapy will be far more beneficial in the future than hormonal therapy is today.

I have all kinds of feelings about transmen. I just feel like a creepy fetishist when I articulate them, so I won't. But, yes. Those are a good looking assortment of guys.

Before I was out I had an in the closet lesbian coworker friend and she had a gay roommate who had a boyfriend. I could have sworn the gay roommate was a F2M trans, but I mentioned it to a mutual friend who didn't think so.
