I wonder at this point if we are to assume they have had sex already, in some form. Although with Luke being in a wheelchair since being shot, err since he fell, err whatever. . . maybe they have already had sex before that point. Since we'll never see more than an occasional kiss, at some point I think we would have to assume they've gone alot further. And with Luke already telling people he loves Noah, it seems the relationship has reached an intimate level, despite us being deprived of some helpful details.

Whatever he looks like works. Van Hansis the actor is everywhere on the net. The actor who plays Noah (Jake Silberman) not so much. Personally I think they work well together. Noah's hair keeps getting shorter. Van's is scruffy. It's in the upbringing I guess. (!)(!)
