Florida Gay Club PULSE has been attacked with injuries, and possible hostage situation.

Re: Pulse to re-open

I'm not sure I would have re-opened under the same name...but....good to hear that the party goes on.

Re: Pulse to re-open

I have a bad feeling about it.

I wish I didn't...but I do.

Re: Pulse to re-open

^ Indeed, especially considering the recent going-on, except that I don't think the words 'Allahu Akbar' will be heard.

Pulse nightclub widow found Not Guilty

I'm offended by this. At one point she admitted some guilt in it. She knew he was going to kill 49 of us gay guys, and she did nothing to stop it. I have to wonder if the jury would've felt differently if the victims were straight instead of gay?

Re: Pulse nightclub widow found Not Guilty

Pat of me wants to agree with you..but another part of me understands the verdict due to a lengthy piece on it I read in the last week that detailed the abuse and the psychological profile of someone who has been abused...and how they questioned her and what she agreed to as the time went along....

It seemed logical to me that an abuse victim might respond the way she did and it may or may not have been the truth...

So...reasonable doubt was definitely there because prior to that I wanted her to pay. Now...not so sure.

Abuse or not..if she did know...I definitely want her to pay for it....and I would find her guilty.

The way she was questioned though....and the fact they left out his dad was an FBI informant for so long...uh...I think the prosecution has more to answer for at the moment...

If a jury found her not guilty, because of a reasonable doubt...then that is the verdict and everyone has to live with it.

Yes, I think especially with new information about the Dad, that this verdict is not so surprising.

Omar Mateen ruined many lives. The verdict is apparently based on "reasonable doubt." Let's put on some Latin House and dance in honor of the fallen.
