I want to know how they would determine if someone was a Christian!

If they just ask, then a friend of mine would pass -- he says he's a Christian for Christmas and Holy Week, and on St. Francis of Assisi's day, but he's something else on a bunch of other holidays he likes (especially from Native American traditions), so if he was getting a Christmas tree and got asked "Are you a Christian?" he'd say "Yep."

I think the white bowl must be for Jesus. Blue is for the Virgin Mary; maybe the other bowls are for the three Marys of the Gospels?

Or for the kitten, the state, and the IRS?

Maybe they make them pass a test on Biblical knowledge? In which case most of the (nominal) Christians I know would fail miserable, but I might stand a fair chance if the questions weren't too theological in nature.

I'm not a Christian but I would happily say I was in order to purchase something I wanted. As Christianity holds no meaning for me it is not as though I would worry about hellfire, damnation, the wrath of (the Christian version of) God, or making the Baby Jesus cry. It would be of no importance than if someone said, 'Are you a Jedi?', I would say, 'Yeah, now sell me the fucking tree!'.

I am the result of at least five generations of Quaker and Methodist ministers. Am I a Christian? Oh, HECK, Yeah! And, so is my hubby, right here, who comes from a BIG Irish Catholic family!

I was going to object that the Magi were Persian, but they weren't at the Nativity; they didn't arrive till later.

Good point. In Islam it's always the ladies who have to make sure they don't tempt the men, but the men can show anything except their willy.

1. The thread title suggests the main concern are pictures which are funny but anti-religious from the internet.

Since no rules for the thread were given, if this Opening Post is to set the mood, then to be on-topic, a supply of funny pictures poking fun at religious topics is to be entertained.

Therefore, this thread will be for pics and light commentary about the pictures.

Any in-depth religiously themed discussion will be moved to the Discussion Thread.

Any so cally references to the ignorance portrayed in those pictures and of other member's points of view is deemed religious and will be moved to the Discussion Thread.
