Thank you for sharing that. The study I heard about (though I have no idea how to find its information) demonstrated that verbal centers were more active during prayer and visual centers were more active during meditation.

I gave up trying to find one I read, where it was concluded that people praying for others experience greater benefits than those praying for themselves.

Actually that is what this study found, that the brain centers activated during prayer were more verbally (communications) oriented while meditation was more visually oriented. Sort of translates to people who are praying are more focused on a communication (talking) while just meditating is a visualization effort. Both seem to produce the same physical and psychological benefits though.
