I dont really care if they are fundamental or not. Most of the muslims i come across are openly homophobic, and some of them go gaybashing in groups. I wasn't hallucinating when i had to defend myself against two of em in July, and that sortof thing is becoming more common here.

I dont understand why it's okay to knock christianity in it's entirety while the muslim faith gets a solid defense. This kind of excessive political correctness is prolly driving more people to the far right.

You didn't get my point. I don't knock christianity in it's (no wait .. shouldn't it be "its" :confused:) entirety I am just asking people NOT to knock islam in its entirety while giving christians a free pass.
But it's so easy to fear and hate the evil dark skinned foreign men. I heard you guys have quite a history with that :roll: and didn't learn anything. Hate blacks, hate fags, hate muslims .. whatever is different is feared.

1. Im so sick of race being dragged into the debate everytime we discuss a religion mostly composed of non-whites. seriously grow up.

2. If it were up to me, religious expression would be legally restricted to places of worship. There's no place for it in politics, or on the street.

3. It's not just SOME muslims that attacked me. In the last two years ive had several incidents, 90% of the time with muslims, the other 10% with wannabe-gangsta types. Im sorry but i dont plan on dieing for your political correctness.

I must be doing something severely wrong then, I lived for 4 years in an area with over 35% of muslim inhabitants .. granted there were some "thugs" but they kept their aggression amongst each other. The only time that I ever was physically attacked was in a different quite "posh" city - by some idiot "caucasian" kid that I didn't ask for his religion :roll:.
 
yes, and you are seperating between christians and christian fundamentalists. but you don't seperate between muslims and muslim fundamentalists. you hate the whole of islam for its fundamentalists, while not hating the whole of christianity for its fundamentalists. you are giving christians a free pass.

do you actually know how fucking many different schools, and faiths are united under the name "islam"? people have dedicated multiple lifetimes to study them.

That's the truth, Corny, and some of the Christian religions are downright liberal. In fact, some of the mainstream (not fringe) Christian religions openly ordain gay ministers. Let's see, there're the Episcopalians, and some Methodist churches, and on another note, we have the Unitarians who are hippy flake Christians, and the Quakers who're conservative in some ways, but teach that "no one goes to hell because God loves us all."

the leader of the sunnis actually issued a fatwa that declared any kind of terrorism in the name of islam as not compatible with the muslim faith.
i could find nothing about a fatwa against the cartoon guy except from some iraqi nobodies. what is your source? saying that this fatwa is "from the sunnis" is like saying that fred phelps speaks for the baptists ..

yes there are seven countries with a death sentence for being gay. the biggest school of law however does not call for such punishment. islam is a very old, archaic religion that is slowly developing. as christianity had to as well .. and they still have a far way to go.

the leader of the biggester german muslim organization just issued a statement that homosexuality while not "encouraged" by the islam is a sign of the changing times and that we need to look over past needs like reproductivity but look at how people treat each other, and that if people love each other god will not look at the body that they are in". she is a woman by the way.

so those are the people that i should be scared of in my country? i have yet to hear something like that from the catholic church.
