Sorry if I kill the flow, but I wanted to jump into your gamers thread. : )

I'm actually a huge Guild Wars fan and I'm pumped for when they release Guild Wars 2 next year. I'm pretty sure it's going to be the Game of the Year since we've been waiting for a few years now. I'm currently playing Morrowind and hope to play Oblivion when I can ever figure out how the hell to play Morrowind, lol. I recently got them as a birthday present and they're pretty amazing.

But I'm also a fan of RPGs and civ type games. Really loved Age of Mythology and the expansion, liked Civilization just wish I was better at it, and was a huge fan of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Glad to see there are are a huge number of gamers on here.

That was one of the worst E3 conferences ever, Microsoft have completely lost touch. Not a single new I.P, heavily Kinect focused. Disney, Seasame Street. Awkward Dance Central, AGAIN! Loads of staged demos, Star Wars AGAIN!, just awful.

The Disney bit especially was so bad;

"CAPTAIN HOOK!"
"FIST BUMP!"

Thank god we have Nintendo and Sony conferences.

The problem with Microsoft is that they completely ignored people's reactions to last year's conference. It makes sense that they'd want to give a bigger focus on Kinect, of course... but they need to realize that the cheesy acting has got to go.

Also: the games to showcase need to be selected better. The only one they scored was Dance Central 2, which look ok, if not awesome. I know, many people who own Xbox 360s have children, but an E3 conference is not the right place to show Sesame fucking Street! A montage with the kiddie games would suffice.

Sequels from the same-old franchises. Sure, you can say the same about Nintendo (and Sony too, with Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, rumors of a new God of War), but at least they have way more than 4 franchises! On Microsoft it's always Gears/Halo/Forza/Fable. It gets tiring.

*SLAP* I actually like Disneyland and I would of liked to play that game but it's only for 360 so I'm sad.... But you know what those kids went right in the ride, they didn't have to stand in a 45 minute line to ride Big Thunder Mountain, they should fix that...

I guess if I wanted to go to Disneyland I'd go travel to Anaheim and go to it. I guess this will be a game I will miss but I see a lot of good games for the PS3 so that will make up for it.

Not to mention they keep milking the Halo cow...I thought MicroPenis said that Reach and ODST (Original Depressing Sound Track?) was the end of Halo?

Between Gears of War 3, Halo 4 and Modern Warfare 3, XBOX is coasting on boring, derivative shooters. No wonder it's bombing in Japan.

I guess MicroSoftAndFlaccid didn't learn from the failure of the Power Glove, U-Force, Power Pad, Activator, and EyeToy. Until motion control technology reaches the levels of Minority Report, it's doomed to fail. People don't want to grapple with clunky interfaces and awkward controls.

(Yes, the Wii does motion controls, but no one takes it seriously. Now that the novelty has worn off, sales are dropping...hence the $149 Mario Kart bundles)

All I gotta say is Sony's conference looked WAY better than Microsoft's. Plus they pulled out PlayStation Vita which has a nice price tag considering it's brand new.
