Gay Gamers Unite!!

It needs to be $299 TOPS. If it's more than that, it's DOA, it won't convince anyone who has a PS3 and/or a 360 to buy a Wii U too. $249 might be a better idea, though...

In other news, I just bought a 3DS! So excited! No games for it yet, waiting for Ocarina of Time. But I'm considering buying Pilotwings Resort, anyone here played it?

They're going to have to make the Wii U console really, really cheap for it to be competitive. From what I've seen, the controllers look like consoles in themselves. I can't imagine the Wii U to be the most affordable console, but it will be interesting to see how they price everything. I'm not convinced it's going to be a great success, though.

I will have to see the price before I buy it but I will always stick with Nintendo.

Nintendo revealed today the console does not support multiple controllers, so you will only get one of those pad controllers and you can not use more than 1 per system.

Epic Games also got hacked today

Gears of War developer Epic Games has become the latest high-profile games industry company to fall victim to a hacking attack, after its website and official forums were recently compromised.

In an email to forum members, Epic Games' founder Tim Sweeney revealed the extent of the security breach, and reassured users that no unencrypted, sensitive data was stolen. However, since encrypted password strings "may have been obtained", forum passwords could be decrypted using "brute force" techniques.

Basically, to be completely safe, you should probably change your Epic forums password if you were using it on any other site. For Epic's part, it has reset all its forum users' passwords as a precaution.

Here's the message that was sent out to forum members today --
The hackers may have obtained the email addresses and encrypted passwords of forum users. Plaintext passwords weren't revealed, but it's possible that those passwords could be obtained by a brute-force attack on the encrypted passwords. Therefore, we have reset all passwords. Your new password at the bottom of this message.

The Unreal Developer Network (UDN) hasn't been compromised. Thankfully, none of our web sites ask for, or store, credit card information or other financial data. We're sorry for the inconvenience, and appreciate everyone's patience as we wrestle our servers back under control.
So, nothing as serious as recent breaches at Sony and Codemasters, but still an embarrassing episode for a triple-A developer and technology provider like Epic.

I was having a discussion with some friends over skype last nite and a bit of schadenfreude came out of me when they said that Star Wars: The Old Republic was not gonna be supported on Macs (at least right now).

The console not supporting mutiple controllers is a definate let down..and a stupid idea.
Multiplayers games are where it's at.

OK Guys

Trying again to break into that Nintendo discussion :)

Does anybody play Brothers in Arms?

I got BiA Hell's Highway.

It's simply very good.

I agree with this - how is that even going to WORK for Nintendo, where party games have become the rule?

But before I jump the gun, I'll wait for this thought process to be further explained...

I think they're restraining its support because the controller will be expensive - and the prospect of buying four of those things can scare people away from the console. However, I'm sure that at least two of the tablets will work at the same time.

The biggest issue, in my opinion, is that, whoever develops for Wii U will have to support at least THREE controller formats to decide on (Wiimote + nunchuk, Classic Controller and tablet), each different from the other. Will people ignore the Wiimote for hardcore games and FPSs because it doesn't have as many buttons?

woot for gay gamers.

Yeah Im a big mmo-rpg junky so played every thing from DAOC, to everquest or starwars galaxies and of course WoW. Also enjoy FPS such as counter strike source and Battlefield 2. currently playing APB reloaded which is a free-to-play mmo fps.

Yah maybe I can get more free points from LoL. I haven't been playing much this week but always looking for new people to play with. Tag is Sammed.

I'm thinking of going old school and buying one of the three games:

1. The Legend of Zelda "Majora's Mask" on the wii virtual console.

2. The Legend of Zelda "Twilight Princess" in GC format but played in the Wii.

3. Kingdom Hearts for the PS2

So hard to pick just one

I actually just did #2. So Amazing but disappointing end boss. I'm actually blasting my way through OoT (GC on Wii again). I probably spent about 8 hours playing so far and I am already through the Forest Temple. It is amazing how after playing the game so many years ago (reckon it is my 4th run through) you can remember all the intricate little secrets and memorize all the dungeons. Although I haven't hit the water temple yet #-oso that will be the true test.
I really want to do MM next but I am like 99% positive my brother has the GC disc of it at his house. That is one of two 3D Zelda games I did get 100% completion on but I just love how hard those dungeons are.
Maybe I will add Kingdom Hearts to my nostalgia binge also. Great suggestion! ..|

Yup there it is, 0/10 xD
It's rare for a game to get 0/10 on metacritic but Duke Nukem is just that bad lol

Mine says 49/100 which IMO is still far too high for this turd game. If this game was released about 10 years ago, it may have been relevant. There is a reason why games like Doom and Wolfenstein are looked backed on fondly.

To quote my friend Dave, "this game is 'Chinese Democracy' bad".
