If Judge Walker wanted stood such an interest in benefiting from the ruling, why didn't he and his partner get married while it was legal in California?

I'll be shocked if any of the higher courts take this case, given the can of worms it could open up.

That argument was noted and given weight by Judge Ware in his decision. My prediction is that whoever is assigned this in the Ninth will take a look at that and deny the appeal.

scream, how are things going in Minnesota? Is there a bombardment of advertisements right now? Which side is sending out their message more?

No ads have really started yet. However, our side is WAY ahead of the game. Minnesota United For All Families is spreading out all over the state. Our message is simple; "Why marriage matters". We are not even using the term "marriage equality" so we are not creating any divide. There is growing animosity towards Republicans for abusing the constitutional amendment process (anti-marriage ban, voter ID, requiring 60% vote to raise taxes, etc.). Our Senate Minority Leader (Tom Bakk) spoke to our class recently and expressed how he believes this will bit Republican leaders in the ass. There is a growing movement to "leave all amendment questions blank", which in Minnesota counts the same as voting No.

I've been pushing hard within the organization to be prepared to address the false claims regarding the "consequences" of same sex marriage. So far it has been only a lukewarm response though.

What they need to be ready for is the....what about the children....commercials...

Yah I really have a feeling that this claim is going to fall on deaf ears much more then it did in 2008 and 2009. Same sex marriage has been legal in several states for a few years now and nothing of the sorts has happened. This will be especially true in Maine, seeing as how Marc Mutty addmitted it's false (I seriously hope our side pounds that into the ground).

Also, Minnesota is one of the most educated states in the country. People won't just fall for such things (except perhaps in Bachmann's district) and if our side continues to fight like we already are (seriously, I'm a part of it, and we are MOBILIZED) we will win.

Third poll in a row shows supermajority opposition to repeal of gay marriage in New Hampshire:

http://www.wmur.com/r/29476349/detail.html

Support for repeal has dropped to just 27% (opposition is still at 62%). Even more important, 44% of voters who oppose repeal would be less likely to vote for a candidate who suppors repeal, while only 14% of voters who support repeal would be less likely to vote for a candidate who opposes repeal.
