[STRIKE]Standing Up for New Hampshire Families: they misnamed their organization. They are fighting against families. Who do they think they are kidding...other than themselves?[/STRIKE]

Please ignore my comment. I misread it. Sorry about that.

Standing Up for New Hampshire Families is a good organization.

He was the youngest man to ever try to run for President - wasn't going to be eligible to take office because he wasn't going to be 35 in time, if memory serves me -

Just some trivia.

I love Julian Bond. He appears in so many state committee hearings on gay marriage that he's practically a fixture of them.

Agreed. My mom met him AND Jesse Jackson at a conferance last year in Oshkosh, WI. So jealous!!!

As I said, I think it's great that we're really reaching out to the African American community.

Does it make me a bad person to feel happy about this?

No it doesn't. I've read the articles lauding him since then and they make me want to puke. He was nice, caring, kind and loving...as long as you were straight and Christian.
If you weren't,he had no problem using lies and disguisting language to justify why it was okay to make gays and lesbians second class citizens.
I hope he burns in hell.

Glad to know I'm not a horrible person for it. In fact, given what you said there, I'm even more happy.

The following is a comment posted on The Advocate's page regarding his death:

"I have never wished death on anybody, but I have read a great number of obituaries with happiness"

I knew more than a few "Christians" like that. They are friendly and upbeat, but when they come up against gays or something, they turn into wolves.

Kinda like some people Jesus warned about.

That is excellent.
