Get in loser, we're going shopping

Oxford street is one street I like to shop on.
River Island is good for men's clothes.

I thought you had better taste; why not shop in Bond Street or at Harvey Nichols?

My local: Canal Walk in Century City here in Cape Town.

From the canal side, which we don't usually see since parking and the entrance is the other side:

400 stores, 17 cinema screens, 9am-9pm daily mega-mall goodness, the local Ratanga Junction theme-park, and all just 5 minutes' drive from home. :D

Sadly, the Exclusive Books store there is small and poky. You need to head out to the Victoria Wharf mega-mall in the harbour to get to the good Exclusive.

The mall is the entire series of buildings in the back of this picture, as seen from across the harbour at the Robben Island Gateway.

Perhaps surprisingly, I do not work for Cape Town tourism.

It's just one of many places. I don't think it's a good idea to post about my shopping antics after the HOLLISTER thread. We don't need to go down that road again. :D

The best secondhand bookshop in London is now Walden Books in Harmood Street, Camden Town, following the demise of the Two Jays in Edgeware. They're all closing down. The best menswear shop by a long way is Ben Nevis which is a tiny place just down the road from Walden Books in Royal College Street. This is THE place to buy a Harrington jacket. They are made in England (just up the road in fact) to the authentic pattern, they are better than Barracuta and cost about one-eighth of the price. And they haven't put the prices up for a few years.

I just thought you'd like to know.
