Glenn Beck is 'Losing It Before Our Eyes" - Joe Scarborough

So I see that Beck's numbers have dropped back to about 1.7 million this week as people lose interest in Libya and North African events.

Has he finally got his Neilson audience so confused that their tinfoil hats have started shorting out?

So who still supports this madman? And what do these ads tell us about Glenn's core Demo?

As everyone remembers, at least 300 advertisers dropped their ads from Glenn Beck's Fox News program after he called President Obama a "racist" who has a "deep-seated hatred for white people."

March 8 sponsors, in the order they appeared:

* Merit Financial
* City of Branson, Missouri
* Lifestyle Lift
* RealtyBid.com
* Target for (Harry Connick, Jr. On Broadway)
* News Corp. (Fox News Channel)
* Ad Council
* Carbonite
* Ad Council
* International Fellowship of Christians and Jews
* Rosland Capital
* Can-Am
* HipRecallUpdate.com
* News Corp. (Hannity, On the Record)
* Goldline International, Inc.
* Easy Water
* Comfy Control Harness
* News Corp. (Special Report)
* Lear Capital
* Lifestyle Lift
* News Corp. (The O'Reilly Factor)
* WesLend Financial
* SunSetter Retractable Awnings
* Rosland Capital
* News Corp. (The Wall Street Journal)
* American Petroleum Institute
* Solutions From Science (MySolarBackup.com)

Navy represents sleazy financial companies that prey on elderly and poor.
Magenta represents shit only old people would want.
Green represents general interest products and services.
Red represents dinosaurs.

It is an even shorter list than last fall. Ignore the house ads and the public service ads that Fox is obliged to run at low cost and it is pretty evident that his show is in desperate financial straits.

Even Goldline is pretty much gone if they're only running one spot.

And the local cable public access channels probably have the same or better quality sponsors,

Ailes must be praying for the last day of Beck's contract to arrive.

Thanks for this list rareboy. I've already e-mailed about half of these sponsors and informed them I'm organizing a boycott of their products and services if they continue to advertise on Beck's show. Also told them I'm giving the list of companies to boycott to nursing homes residents, senior citizen centers and leaving it on church bulletin boards.

Probably won't do any good but I had a couple extras hours this afternoon.

Scary thought: I wonder how many American Idol viewers also watch Beck - and vice versa? :eek:
I'm no genius, but I am incapable of "checking my brain at the door" for any TV program. :-)

I think that last 2009's American Idol, what do you want from me Adam Lambert got more votes than Obama, but it's merely speculation on my part. :p

Are you kidding?

Beck is the best advertising that Fox News has!

Who cares who's sponsoring Beck's show?

Beck is getting all types of free advertising for the Fox News Network, as people who normally wouldn't give that network one bit of attention, stop by to see what all the ruckus is about.

Think about it. ..|

Proving once again Roger Ailes' brilliance! :p

And as usual....you are right.

Roger's the man.

Shoot me.

Just how many suckers do you think are going to drop in more than once for more than maybe five minutes?

.

As usual, you only provide half the story. Didn't think it was important to mention that Beck's on vacation this week? Of course not. :rolleyes:

So even with Judge Napolitano hosting this week, the show still crushes O'Donnell and Maddow in the ratings.

under the category ........ "why let the facts get in the way of a good story"

thinking u owe laika a "my bad" or "thank you" rareboy

a mea culpa

a "i fucked up"

an "oops"

nah

that would be ......... honest

just more drivel about old dumb fox viewers

Did you know that Beck has no sponsors for his UK broadcast?

He lost his last sponsor this year.

Imagine it.

http://stopbeck.com/remaining-sponsors/

In all of England, there isn't a single awning company or sleazy financial company that will even touch him.

Oh.

And over the last week, by Friday, March 4, Beck was pulling only about 1.8 million, so big diff. Chance. The numbers were already sliding back below the 2 million threshold again.

If anything, FOX has to be seriously considering whether Napolitano might be the choice for this timeslot if he can pull the same numbers.

Who knows. At least he might be able to generate some revenue for the network by attracting an actual legitimate company to buy air time.
