Global warming debunked, again.

I have just a simple question. Greenland is named so because why ? It is nothing but a big 'ol chunk of ice. hundreds of feet of ice.

But under all that ice is soil. Under that soil is OIL, Black Gold,Texas Tea. And oil comes from what ? Rotten Vegetation. Oil takes ages to be made. IT would seem Greenland was green at one/many times. Would that not take EARTH going though many cycles of hot/cold to make that slimy stuff ?

We humans shed millions of pounds of skin every day cleansing ourselves. Mother Earth does the same via glaciers and sun shine.

Most likely because when Erik the Red and the Norsemen discovered it, circa 980 or thereabouts, we were in the medieval warm period, and there wasa lot of green there.

They established a settlement there which lasted for a few hundred years. Nobody knows for sure why it was abandoned, but it happened during the little ice age.

This was an Ipsos Mori poll of 2,032 adults, which did its poll between the 14th and 20th of June. Apparently, they found that 56% believed scientists were still questioning the reason for the climate change. There was also a feeling that the problem was exaggerated to make money or something like that. I just thought it was interesting concerning the public perception on this topic.

^ Good point, I read that this morning. The more we hear about climate change the more we realize that we don't know for sure. The problem has become that the true believers on the left, don't want to hear any discussion from the rest of us. It is tantamount to treason to dare and question these unprovable assertions. Despite all of the learned scientists you bring out, Global Warming is a un-finished science. It will be years until Man knows it's complete causes. Those that champion extreme measures to combat it are anarchists bent on the destruction of capitalism, and a free-market economy.

Warming is occurring, due to many, many causes. Man does have a role in using his technology to analyze what is happening, and address it, with facts in hand. Nothing, and I mean nothing, has been proven. Heady, well meaning scientists are eager to jump aboard the dire predictions. Especially when so many seem to be doing so. But everything you hear from them is their opinion, not proven fact. Other scientists, nearly just as many, believe in taking their time to fully analyze the data, not make dire predictions, and let the process finish.

Oh yeah, and those cute twisty florescent lights? I'm done with them! Yeah, they save money, but they contain mercury. When all of those bulbs are in the landfill, mercury poisoning of the groundwater is completely possible!

One thing is certain - not a single fact has been posted in this thread that proves global warming is in any way man made.

Give me a fact (not an opinion or a belief or a consensus), just one honest scientific fact. Preferably a test that can be replicated, which will prove that global warming is man made.

Those on the left think they own the environmental issue. They don't. Conservatives have embraced good stewardship of the earth's natural resources all long. The environmental whacko crowd put forth lots of effort to make the public think they, and they alone, care for the environment.

From candidates using plenty of "carbon footprint" to go to their precious debates, separately, while they could all pool the flights, to Senator Gore living in a huge mansion that uses ten times the energy of your average home.
