Golden Globe Drama: Isaiah Washington Says "Fa***t" Again!

so what if he said that WORD? big fucking deal!

get a life

Doing it once and causing a row is bad, but to publicly humiliate the entire cast on international television is beyond help. Get the man a gag.

Well Isaiah is a straight man I don't know why people are suprised that some straight men are homophobic? There are men all other America that are anti gay Washington won't be the first or the last.

I have no problem with him using it in that context if you're accused of saying x you're allowed to say "No I did not say x" What I think is the real issue and why everyone in the cast got so upset is because he was probably lying in which case they have every right to get upset

But it's okay that Jennifer Hudson says "[...even though it's a sin...]" but this isn't "I never called T.R. Knight a faggot, it never happend..."

First of all you're twisting the girls words
Second your argument hinges on the idea that everyone who's complaining about washington is defending Hudson which is the most random unsupported assumption I've ever heard... and I've listened to Ann Coulter speak... at least for as long as I can before throwing up

Wow. The guy isn't all that bright is he? A simple "No, I did not call TR the 'F' word." would have sufficed. I guess he just likes to through that one out there.

Who cares? Words are just words..

It's not like he said it was a sin (meaning you will burn in hell), and even gave book to where you could find where it says, but that's someother 900 pound lady who shall remain nameless.

I think he just did it for attention, and most of you fell for it! lmao

Please all of you who defended what Hudson said, but despise what Washington said speak up.

Those of you that despise what both said please say something, and those of you who just don't care either way please say something.

It's hardly unfounded I've just noticed a correlation is all.

Please all of you who defended what Hudson said, but despise what Washington said speak up.

Ummmmm... ^this is just a sentence fragment

if you would like it to be a sentence you have to remove the but so despise becomes the verb with the but it's just part an additional clause an additional clause and there isn't a full sentence there... there's no verb... so excuse me if I mistake about what you're trying to say. Since there's no predicate, I'll just assume what you're trying to say is those of us who defended Hudson also despise Washington. That's just plain incorrect. Because before you even posted I clearly defended his use of the word in this context...

To be more general PEOPLE come on yes the "f-word" would have sufficed but we all know what the "f-word" is. They're synonymous phrase. Does no one care what the sentiment of a sentence is anymore? Are we really so obsessed with picking at the diction of every single statement anyone makes. If he said "I did not call him the F-word" There'd be no righeoush outroar of indignation but if he says something that means the EXACT same thing suddenly it's a crime against humanity? People!!!!!! Care about what people say not how they say it.

A. I wasn't trying to be an ass an correct your grammar. I didn't understand what you were trying to say because there was no predicate. So I postulate what I thought you were trying to say and pointed out why I had that conception

B. Even if you think Jennifer Hudson is homophobic that has no bearing on Washington. Bringing it up has NO relevance and is just meant to act as a bias in what you already know is a controversial issue.

C. I agree he used it in the proper context. Quite frankly this reminds me of Huck Finn. It's one of the most poingnet novels ever written on racism. It's the story of a boy who decided he was willing to go to hell in order to free a man he cared about from the bonds of slavery, to go to hell and suffer eternal damnation because he refused to let a friend of his suffer. Yet some how people with tunnel vision still insist the book is racist simple because it uses the N-word. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CARE ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING NOT JUST HOW THEY SAY IT.

I'm not even going to address the Hudson bullshit because it's seriously become beating a dead horse. If people can't read that's on them. Anyway...

This is proof that Isaiah Washington LIED when he said he didn't call T.R. the F-word

http://ellen.warnerbros.com/

Look at the preview at the bottom, T.R. confirms it.

Heigl is quoted as saying that he used the word "again." T.R. Knight on Ellen says that he used it in reference to him and that everyone there heard it.

Is this kind of behavior inexcusable? Yes, it is, especially considering the fact that he did it at a function celebrating the show itself, a time for all of them to shine. I also find it ironic that he said it on a day meant to celebrate the birth of a man who stood for the concept of accepting others and treating them with the respect they deserve.

And as far as the Jennifer Hudson situation...apples and oranges. A young woman who is not very media savvy is asked her opinion on an issue she's never been asked about before, and is clearly being baited by the reporter who doesn't provide the actual transcript of the conversation. She struggled to give an answer that encompassed what she has been taught about sin as well as judging others. Compare that to a much older actor who used one of the most derogatory terms you can use to describe a gay man. He allegedly used it in a fit of anger against a colleague while physically attacking another colleague. Then he allegedly lied and used it again to try and clear himself at an inappropriate time.

To me, that's apples and oranges.

Watched the video of him saying it. Read about him saying it. Watched the video of him talking about it later. Watched Heigl's video where she is upset with him for saying it again. Watched the clip on Ellen where T.R. Knight says specifically that Washington called him the word.

The gossip columnist who asked the question at the Golden Globes was out of order to ask the question at that time, but Washington was out of order responding in that manner. And considering that the reporter who asked it is one of the most famous gay gossip columnists in Hollywood, it wouldn't surprise me if Washington didn't respond that way as a dig at him as well.

For me, it leaves a very bitter taste at the thought of now watching a well-written show with a mostly amazing cast.

Some are speculating that originally the slur was hurled at Dempsey, and the network is covering it up by saying it was in reference to T.R.

Far fetched theory, but who knows.
