Breaking news --

GOProud, an organization for staunch gay conservatives & Republicans, was dis-invited from participating in next year's 2012 CPAC event, held by the American Conservative Union.

As the presidential election is next year, CPAC will be extremely important to Republicans & conservatives in preparing for the fall elections.

GOProud participated in CPAC during 2010 and 2011. Their appearance at CPAC this year (2011) brought a lot of controversy as "Family values" groups -- Family Research Council and the American Family Association boycotted the event. Additionally, Chris Barron of GOProud found himself in hot waters with one of the ACU's board members & attorneys, Cleta Mitchell, calling her a "nasty bigot" when she made negative comments about GOProud. Chris Barron later apologized, but the negative publicity from Chris Barron along with GOProud's "Big Gay Party" caused new ACU chariman Al Cardenas to re-evaluate GOProud's presence at CPAC.

As a result, GOProud has been dis-invited from participating at CPAC in an official capacity.

But you can bet your ass that the Goproud closet cases will still be there hanging around in the washrooms waiting to give 'straight' Republican guys a blowjob.

Nice big tent there eh, Jqueer?

Where is Marcus Bachmann gonna get his sex from now?

Senator Craig can be found in the capitol hill bathrooms nowadays. He is a lobbyist now, and spends a great deal of time wandering about.

I am sure he is willing and currently servicing the cock of the GOP. ;)

Maybe those self loathing types at GOProud will finally wake up to the reality of today's GOP, the reality that they are nothing but filthy sinners who are NOT welcome.

Most of us have been trying to tell you that the GOP does NOT want these queers around their moral value members. You are a cocksucker and have no place in the GOP.

Really? I heard that Larry Craig is more of a "Top".

One of my........um, "friends" works near Capitol Hill in DC and he sometimes hears some really juicy gossip.

I have been inside some of the senators & representatives' offices in Capitol Hill. They are really swanky!

'swanky'?

Please don't derail your own thread.

This is really about the ugly and destructive policies of the GOP and the blatant discrimination against the homos that so desperately seem to want this kind of domination and humiliation.

We gay folk are so despicable to Republicans that they refuse even to associate with us.

Methinks that says a whole lot more about the Republicans than it does about us.

UPDATE --

The gay conservative blog "GayPatriot" has weighed in its own commentary regarding GOProud's dismissal from CPAC.

B. Daniel Blatt, a gay conservative Republican from West Hollywood, writes --

" This is sad news indeed and a sign that some conservatives would rather dwell on trivial issues than focus on our common conservatives principles. Although, by and large, rank-and-file “movement” conservatives (particularly those born since 1960) have become increasingly welcome of their gay fellows, there still are pockets in the movement who would exclude folks like us.

And some of those pockets have considerable sway in the conservative movement today...."

Good for you for posting this, JayQueer. I'm interested in your perspective on this, given your recent "coming out" as a conservative. Do you feel betrayed or excluded by this? Does it change your opinion of the GOP?

I'm just disheartened right now. This is a major blow.....

But I still hold many conservative beliefs, and I don't agree with a lot of the platforms of the Democratic Party. I don't support higher taxes, I don't support abortion, and I don't support affirmative action, nor do I support granting amnesty to illegal immigrants. I'm also a strong believer in the 2nd amendment.

I'm just a really traditional kind of person. I want to marry a man & raise a family in the suburbs. I don't want to live in a studio apartment for the rest of my life -- I want a cute house with a garage, white picket fence and big green yard. I'm not a "San Francisco" kind of person. I don't need to be a "gay neighborhood" with rainbow flags flying everywhere.

I just don't know where I fit in anymore. I don't agree with most of the platforms of the Democratic Party, but the anti-gay nature of the Republican Party is a turn-off as well. :(

I lived in San Francisco for two years, in the Pacific Heights neighborhood. I lived a few blocks from the German consulate; plus there were other consulates in the area. I wish I could move back to be honest.

I don't know what you heard about San Francisco JayQueer, but maybe you should give the city a visit before you write it off. San Francisco has something for everybody. Every major city is made up of numerous neighborhoods (gay villages, Chinatowns, Little Itay's, etc), don't let anyone or group lie to you about a city or area because it is seen as liberal.

Also, the rising cost of living has moved a lot of gays out of The Castro. I hear it's becoming family friendly.

They really are fools. I know there are conservative gays but the problem is..the GOP party platform for the time being requires you to kiss up to the religious right.
That means the LGBT is hated..and no amount of kissing up to them will change that.

I have been to San Francisco several times. It's not my cup of tea. Too crowded & too urban for my taste. I was chased by a hairy drag queen dressed as a nun (apparently that's normal !?!) when I visited the Castro.

The only neighborhood I really liked in San Francisco was St. Francis Wood. It was the only part of the city of San Francisco that felt suburban, quiet, & safe. Of course, you have to have $$$$ to afford one of those mansions.
