No just two packs of four, thankfully i can leave behind the shea butter ribbed for your discomfort stuff.

No i wasn't fast enough to sell her jewellry before the lockdown, the laptop will just have to wait for happier times.

Of course, meanwhile, humans are inexplicable....

A grocery store in northeastern Pennsylvania says it was forced to throw away over $35,000 worth of food out of concern over the coronavirus pandemic after a woman deliberately coughed over it.

The co-owner of Gerrity's Supermarket, Joe Fasula, said the woman purposefully coughed on food in several sections of the store, including the produce area, bakery section and meat case, according to The Washington Post.

This is an obscenity. Wherever it happens.

Today we were in an upscale food market. A group of 6 young 20 somethings were clustered together at the cash check-out....obviously not related or even co-habiting. Totally oblivious.

^ I hope that they were able to identify that woman and that they, or their insurance company, will sue that woman to recover the costs.

I usually buy a breakfast sandwich at a fast food place about twice a week. I haven't in a few days and was tempted to, but decided to hold off for now because I don't know who handled it in the process.

I work at the Hospital there's been a few scares going on i am very careful at work. Work has been slow because people are coming in for real issues not something silly (Pregnancy Test)

New Jersey has a 8pm curfew and the govt is trying to enforce the curfew laws. I still go shopping and do my day errands. The bars are closed so i haven't seen my friends in a few weeks.

Call me old fashion i still like to go shopping and pick out my own things, i don't want someone else picking out my items for me.

I'm wondering how safe it is to even go to the grocery store. Or even if delivery is safe for that matter. I mean, you hear stay 6 feet apart. But then you also hear the virus can hang in the air for up to 3 hours. It seems a grocery store would be hot-bed to inhale it. Then it stays on certain items like plastic and metal for up to 3 days. You could still get it even with delivery. I'm terrified to go anywhere. I'm really becoming agoraphobic.

Personally, I would never want a stranger choosing my food, especially fresh produce. They will never be as concerned about quality.

Re: what Rareboy posted, I bet it's only a matter of time before someone is arrested for deliberately trying to make people sick.

I agree, and I don't plan to using the service, but a friend has been using the home delivery service and curbside pickup from our local Wegmans, and she said she's never gotten any produce she was unhappy with.

And...there's already been at least a few arrests. https://news.yahoo.com/missouri-man-arrested-licking-items-203425461.html

Yeah but that is Wegmans - consistently voted one of the best grocery store chains in the country!

I tried the home delivery again and got much better results. Also I have an old acquaintance that manages a food store that caters primarily to restaurants, I buy certain items there such as onion rings and french fries as they are superior to the Kroger brand and come in larger quantities. They now have a pick up service so I placed an order with them for some noodles (a 5 pound bag) and 10 pounds of hamburger which I make paddies from and also separate into 1 pound quantities for various meals. I have enough on hand now for at least 6-8 weeks. I can't find toilet paper anywhere though.

I've started ordering my groceries since COVID started happening. It's actually really nice!

There were more home-shopping employees picking groceries at Walmart today than normal people. it wasn't busy at all.

We still have to shop in the markets.....

2 grocery stores here have closed to instore shopping. Curbside and delivery serves only.

Still no chance of a home delivery, went to the local Sainsburys, dear bastards but they had loo rolls, bread and alcohol, all the basics.

I do not fucking believe that All Purpose Flour is still sold out everywhere.

I have heard of stress baking and have done a bit myself....but really?

/\ Gravy???

I placed a prime pantry order of what little I could use of what was available/not sold out on Amazon yesterday and was told it will arrive in 3 weeks.

I may have to start hoarding squirrels before the neighbours get them, as the local wildlife is the only other home delivery option, here.

Made my monthly grocery run this morning to restock the pantry and chest freezer.

Produce was picked over, but still readily available. Meat market was well stocked. I even managed to pick up a couple of Porterhouse steaks from the Butcher's Bargain bin at 50% off each ..| Cereal aisle was picked over but still had a good selection. Frozen foods was quite empty, but I did manage to pick up 4 boxes of Green Giant frozen vegetables. Blue Bell Creameries had just restocked their section of the ice cream aisle, and brought out their Summer varieties including Peaches and Homemade Vanilla (I bought only one 1/2 gallon, as I already had 2 others in my chest freezer :) ). Bottled water aisle was empty, no surprise there; but why??????? I mean, all one has to do is turn on the faucet in your kitchen, bath or utility room and get running water 24/7, or even utilize your exterior hose bibs ](*,) Soups and canned goods were well stocked, but catsup and mustard were missing. Flour and sugar were also gone, unless one was looking for brown sugar or powdered sugar :) Eggs were well stocked, but only medium size, no large or extra large. Milk coolers were stocked. All totaled, I spent a little over $ 200 this month which is about $ 100 less than I typically spend.
