erich whitney here. i'm a gay escort in los angeles
some guys hire me and have a great time.
other guys don't have such a great time - either because we don't have chemistry or because they have issues that are beyond me (shame or guilt, either about being gay or hiring a pro, chief among them)
2. hire him for the amount of time you really want to spend. If you love a 5 hour caress-fest and hire him for one hour, you are going to feel rushed. If you love a no talking wham bam, then a whole hour is going to feel endless.
if you find one you like, don't lose his number.
Good to hear from both sides of the question here...I've hired escorts a few times, but I never did so the first time until I was comfortable with it. I don't feel any ethical or moral issues with it - any more so than having a professional work on my computer, or getting professional advice from my doctor, etc. Sexual prostitution is nothing more than an agreement between consenting adults, and nobody is ever forced to hire an escort.
I respect the sex-for-hire business (and I use the term here because I don't think females are ever called "escorts"...are they?) as much as I respect family farmers, courtroom bailiffs, lawn and yard care people, restaurant servers, etc. The work isn't as easy as people think - not even maybe - the job of pleasuring people and being good at it requires a lot of versatility, both sexually and socially. It's not as simple as some people think - "Wow, he's being paid to have fun!" Being a good escort requires a lot more skill than most jobs I can think of, except there's no formal education for it, and it must all be learned by trial and error. I don't think ther percentage of people who could be successful as escorts is all that high...and my guess is that a successful escort is often called upon to try something they may not be all that comfortable with. If an escort tries to do something which is far outside his comfort zone, he is not as likely to be "good at it" in the view of the paying customer.
For it to be illegal is just...WRONG.
And the advice to hire an escort for the amount of time one really wants is, I think, something which is often forgotten. I'm more a two-hour type of guy myself.
Where prostitution is a bad thing, is not in the sex world - but in places such as Congress, or some of the right-wing radio media ACTORS/CLOWNS (names not needed, we know who they are), lobbyists and the like - these people will sell their souls to force things upon us, knowingly lie and steal, etc.
Why are people so hung up about it. He's a professional selling his services. If you need legal advice you'll think nothing about hiring a lawyer or if you're sick, you'll pay a doctor. It's only because someone has beat into your head that selling a sexual encounter is bad that you look down on it. Most of the guys I've met during the years have been extremely nice, intelligent, caring people. There are many of us who because of age or physical appearance can't attract hot looking guys. This is a way to do this without hurting anyone else. The pro gets paid and you enjoy your fantasy. What's the fucking problem?
Also, I do tend to find the same types of guys attractive as many other of us do. Those are the types of guys I couldn't ever get (but rarely) even when I was in my Twenties and rather frequent at it. Escorts are expensive, but once one is willing to pay for sessions, one can actually fulfill nearly any fantasy they may have - including muscle worship, or a guy with all the attributes that one may be seeking, etc.
It's only the really exotic preferences and fetishes (such as scat, cutting/blood, etc.) for which somebody is seeking, may not have much success finding a willing escort. (Or if somebody lives really deep in the boonies in Flyover Country, they might not be able to find ANY kind of escort easily, LOL.)
