  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Have you ever walked out of a movie 'cause it sucked?

You stayed to finish Norbit but not White Chicks? I hated Norbit but loved White Chicks.

I hated them both, but it helps if you're watching it with someone immature.

Also, I went into White Chicks expecting "the funniest movie you will ever see"
"OMG, IZ SOOOOO GOOOD" "U SHULD TTRLLY SEE THIS."

Now, the fact that I was taking advice from people shouting in text speak is an entirely different story.

Whereas I went into 'Norbit' knowing that it was a horrible movie.

^ Norbit's no good?

Watch it as if it were "Plan 9, from Outer Space."

Expect it to be horrible and you'll enjoy it.

It's definitely better than Epic Movie though.

When will they learn that references to popular culture, do not a funny movie, make.

I wanted to walk out of 300 but I was with a group of friends.

The only one that recently that walked out of is Sicko. Im not saying I hate Michael Moore, but I already knew alot about the subject.

I'm one of those freaky people that never walks out of a movie... even if i didn't pay... no matter how bad it is.... i need to see it through

Seriously! lol. I just sat thru Hot Rod, which was fucking AWFUL! Don't go see it, or even download it. I was sitting there half asleep, and I couldnt make myself get up and leave. lol. It was horrible.

I walked out on "You, Me and Dupree".

And I was watching it at home on DVD!

I refuse to go back into that house!

It was bad, bad,bad!#-o

One time

Vanilla Sky

Tom Cruise

takes A LOT for me to walk out of a movie theater

especially after paying the money to go in

Wolf creek. We apparently walked out 5 minutes before it all kicked off, but after watching for an hour with literally fuck all happening we felt the strong desire to watch paint dry.

Years ago, I was a contributing writer for a show called "Mystery Science Theater 3000."

I've seen enough bad films to last a lifetime!

I was afraid it was going to be horrible.

Can't believe my Sissy ((Spacek)) settled for a role in a crap movie like that.

Last summer's God-awful Robin Williams vehicle, "R/V"

Christ, what a waste of talent.

I watched it on a flight from L.A. to Tampa, and people were *still* walking out....

I thought this was an interesting thread, and I thought I'd try to revive it.

I don't remember this movie playing in the theaters at all. I recently rented "RV" from Netflix after a friend told me about it, saying how much he liked it. I found myself fast-forwarding through most of it. There wasn't a likeable character in the whole movie.

The only part I found funny was when Robin Williams rode the RV down the mountain while holding onto the windshield wiper. That made me laugh out loud.

Yes, I believe it was
"Snakes on a Plane".
I lasted five minutes and although I asked for a refund,
I left the theatre empty handed.
Shep+

If I had watched it in the theatre I would have walked out - snakes (even one's that aren't real) scare the living shit outta me.

As it is I watched it on DVD all the way through - screaming.

That was an OK movie - my friend told me it was the scariest film she had ever seen. I watched it, and it definitely is not. It was actually more funny than scary.

I've never walked out of a theater... I figure, I'm already there, I might as well see what happens. Morbid curiosity, I guess.

Also, I guess I have a good radar for movies I won't like... most of the movies mentioned above looked like utter stinkers, so wouldn't have been in the theater in the first place.

I have, however, turned off and never finished a few movies I got on DVD. Napoleon Dynamite springs immediately to mind, it irritated me into a seizure in about fifteen minutes.

But I still have that sense of curiosity... I usually stick it through to the bitter end, even if I'm hating every minute.

Yes nacho libre because apparently one of my friends little queen buddy didn't like it so we had to leave since it was "stupid" and didn't even get our money back.

I'm too lazy to go through all the posts to see if I posted this. The only reason I didn't walk out is that someone else had paid for my ticket:

Clash of the Titans

Even a star-studded cast and Harry Hamlin running around in a miniskirt couldn't save this clunker. (Almost makes me wish for crappy CGI. . . . . . . . . . . . Almost.):

The only movie I've ever walked out of was Quarantine. I went to see it with some friends, as we'd read a lots of great reviews.

After about an hour of the typical boring predictable crap, we all agreed that we would've had more fun having teeth pulled.
