  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Have you ever walked out of a movie 'cause it sucked?

In that case, I illegally dl all my movies...

And most suck.

If I dunt see sumone get gunned down in the first ten minutes, theres not much point watching it to the end......

Ya DIE HARD was pretty fuckin awesum...

But you cudn't pay me enuff to watch any of the spiderman movies... sappy fuckin chick flicks....

Two times:

When I was in college in 1976, my roommate wanted to see Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071650/ I went with him, not having a clue what the movie was about...

The acting was so horrific, and I vaguely recall a scene at the beginning where a man is castrated. Shortly after that, we walked out... We complained to the box office and they let us change theaters and we watched the Jeff Bridges/Jessica Lange version of King Kong which was already in progress... We never did see the beginning of it... Not much improvement, but easier to stomach while we had our popcorn and Cokes...

In the early Eighties, when I lived in Washington, D.C., I watched the uncut X-rated version of Caligula which was playing in a theater in Georgetown, MD. I stayed as long as I could, but couldn't figure out the plot to save my life... But some of the images are still burned in my mind even after 30 years...

I still remember John Gielgud playing an old king, dying in a bathtub or something... I recall a man having his penis cut off, which was thrown to the floor and gobbled up by little bull dogs... There was a young couple who were dragged away from their honeymoon. Both the man and woman were raped by soldiers... The man was dragged to Caligula, played by Malcom McDowell, who fisted the man's ass while wearing a ring that had a huge stone on it... I recall an orgy scene that went on and on and on... and on... Endless faceless pussies and dicks... and I remember one woman sucking an enormous dick that looked like a French baguette, until it erupted... The movie was just under three hours, and I don't recall how long I stayed, but finally just couldn't take it anymore, got up and walked out...

I actually walked out of Pricilla, Queen of the Desert just because I wasnt in the mood to see portrayals of gay men as drunk and drug addicted queens.

The same reason why I've never rented it... too queeny-looking...

On the other hand, I enjoyed To Won Foo, With Love, Julie Newmar...

Go figure...

Yup, the sixth sense and Bill Murray's Lost in Translation. One of the things lost was the fact everyone said it was good when in fact it SUCKED

I loved Priscilla Queen of the Desert ! Give it another go you lot o detractors.. it has a lotta heart and humor ! And a lot to say about family and gender and...

pi

totally incomprehensible, plus the bizarre visual imagery gave me a headache.

I sneaked into some forgetable animated feature playing in the same multiplex.

I am totally with you on that one.

I didn't walk out of the cinema but I really should have done. Several hours of my life I wasted ](*,). The sigh of relief that went through the audience when it was finally over spoke volumes - and then it went and won awards

The translation was certainly lost on me. :(

^ Sofia Coppola's films are not for everyone. Remember 'The Virgin Suicides' and 'Marie Antoinette'??? I couldn't stand Marie Antoinette although it was a beautiful film, it left my ass sore.

Only one: Clash of the Titans

Even a star-studded cast and a hunky young Harry Hamlin running around in a skirt couldn't save this sucker. (Watch this trailer if you dare!! It's only a minute long.)

Oh and I almost left 'Brokeback Mountain' but I was waiting for the supposedly tragic ending....

Oh well, it was neverending!

](*,)](*,)

Yes, but not the right ones - these are the ones i should have walked out on and did not - biggest mistakes in film going i ever made -

Luna

Rosemary's Baby

The Exorcist.

My rating on these three films :mad::mad::mad::mad:/:grrr::grrr::grrr::grrr::grrr:
