I heard he's 6'5" too. That's even taller than Alexander Skarsgard.

My partner got the first season on DVD for Christmas, and we've watched two episodes, so far. The writing is very good.

Ryan Kwanten is a poster boy for what is meant by the term lean.

FYI Stephen Moyer shows his bare butt, and it's a nice one, in a 1997 BBC series "The Grand" which also stars a gracefully aging Susan Hampshire.

Moyer appeared in the first season but was replaced by another actor in the second season.

Someone, earlier in the thread, questioned the device of silver weakening vampires.
Some years back, I got interested in the subject of vampires, and read a ton of vampire books, many of them series. Some authors tend to come up with variations of the traditional vampire legends, some of them interesting.

For example, Chelsea Quinn Yarbrough's vampires can walk in sunlight - provided they have some of their native earth on their persons (usually incorporated into their footwear). Other writers portray vampires as unable to have sex. It is a fascinating genre. Somehow, I missed the books by Charlaine Harris upon which True Blood is based, but I will rectify that oversight in the near future.
 
WOW, Alan Ball wasn't lying when he said that True Blood is going be gayer. First Lafayette gets a love interest and there going to be some erotic connection between Sam and Bill thanks to him giving Sam his blood to heal him from the end of season 2. Season 3 cannot come fast enough.

I wouldnt be too sure about all this. Well you cant be sure that Sam and Bill tension will happen. I dont think it will at all personally. They might just explain it away as Sam is not human so vampire blood effects him differently. I doubt they'll really delve deep onto Sam and Bill being connected as Sookie and Eric are. Even though according to their own logic they should be. Look how they glossed over Lafayette and Eric's blood bond. And Lafeyette took way more blood than Sookie.

Speaking of Lafayette, for all his flamboyant costumes and attitude, they never have shown him really interact with a guy. There is little guy on guy interaction on the True Blood in general. It's really a big gay tease like Nip/Tuck. i still love the show but its a fuckin gay tease.

I have season one on blu ray (I love the Lafayette pop up gossip) and I'm watching season two for the first time on HBO each Sunday right into the season three premiere (!)

Season two will be on dvd May 25. Yay.

Alexander Skarsgard said there would be ''something'' happening between them but he wouldnt say what. And Nelsan Ellis said that there's a possibility but both of them seemed tight lipped so I dont know
 
I know that kid Sam is leaning down toward. He is Marshall something from prison break. He's also in a gay short film where his character and his brother start having sex and become lovers. it something with Star in the title
 
OK I'm sooo behind but last episode I saw was S" Ep6. WTF!!! Seriously I'm chomping at the bit just to know what the frek MaryAnn is, why the hell she can influence the why she can etc.

Love that Bill's creators on the scene and well Eric going nuts is a joy to watch. I'[m just gutted that I've only 6 weeks left and then I'll probably have to wait until next year from S3.
