HBO's "True Blood" [merged]

Tonight's episode was pretty boring....

but man did Sam look HOT during his outburst...I don't know what it was...his hair was looking particularly good...lol and then his ass during the sex scene....well that always looks good

Cannot stand the Jason storylines this season...who cares about the football guy...and Crystal is a HORRIBLE actress. I hope she winds up dead like the rest of his girlfriends.

let's hope this season goes out with a bang...cause....it's in need of it...not that there haven't been some GREAT episodes this season...cause there has...but there have also been some boring crappy ones

What I love:

Eric's ringtone

Hoyt's mom appearance (finally)

Sam's outburst (I would have cried if he said those things to me) The entire scene was awkward... in a good way. Like what Ad-rock said, it was "odd".

Andy's confession followed by Tara's stunted face (IMO, the best part of the episode)

Jessica and Hoyt hooking up

What I hate:

Jason's storyline. Crystal -- werepussy? Get the fuck out.

Jesus and Lafayette getting high on V. Booooring. Fuck already.

Holly's wiccan shit. Booooring.

Jasun's storyline. Sorry I just want to mention it again.

Well after last week's episode, this was just a filler episode I guess. Anybody know why we have to wait 2 weeks? What's going on next weekend...I guess it is because of Labor Day weekend?

^ Apparently, lots of people on vacation so they probably wouldn't see the show if it aired on a major holiday weekend.

I think they skipped the 4th of July weekend. I can't remember for sure.

jason's storyline this season totally blows.

i think sam's story with his hick family sucked too.

introducing holly this season and expanding her role next season - b/c witches seem to be a big part of season 4 - is probably a good idea.

can't believe we'll have to wait almost a full year for another season of this show! :(

Spoiler alert!!(?)

I was told by a co-worker (his wife read the books) that Jesus is a were panther or something. Does this jive or is he pulling my leg??

Pulling your leg Mike68.

Jesus is a character made for the TV show. His whole affair with Lafayette is new to everyone, as Lafayette was dead by the end of book one.

Jessica isnt in the books either. So there's no way to really predict where she's gonna end up.

This season is great, I guess, but nothing like season 2. I mean, throwing Werewolves into the story line and all of a sudden they're gone? So much is going on.

It's got me wondering what the new waitress is as well as Jesus. Ugh.

*Edit: Read above, so the new waitress is Holly who is a witch? And if Jesus is a new character, based on his V experience with Lafayette, those flashbacks could be some sort of latin supernatural. Anybody here have a clue what it could be? Probably a voodoo or something.

When you think about it aren't the werewolves are kinda lame and pointless? They're so small. They're pretty much just like dogs and they can be killed pretty easily. I hate to compare anything to Twilight but at least those wolves are huge. These have no special powers or regenerative/healing abilities. Plus theyve given no explanation on how people become werewolves or how they can change during daylight and don't need a full moon. Instead we get these nonsensical flashbacks of wolves showing up in Nazi Germany.

I agree aijalon.

I just think this WHOLE season was just a filler for next season. Again, agreeing with some posts above, there were some BIZARRE and memorable episodes this season, but it was just... bleh... altogether. One thing though, I noticed it was so focused on character development, so that alone made this a pretty good season. I've said it time and time again that this is the first show where I love ALL the characters in the show. It's so interesting how all of them are connected somehow and all have their share of problems. It's crazy. I love it.

But Mary Ann... I miss that crazy bitch. I can watch Season 2 from beginning to end all day.

This season has been an incoherent mess. I can't believe it's almost done. What the fuck even happened? Too many boring storylines...What is the major story arc for this season supposed to be again? So forgettable. It honestly feels like True Blood has been getting progressively worse with each season.

I mainly watch it out of habit now. Blergh.

I've been watching True Blood out of habit since the end of Season 1. Although I DO think that Season 3 has been much better than Season 2. None of that overdrawn out Mary Ann mess (an over acted, just plain annoying subplot), and Tara whining about Eggs (oh wait, she still does that, except she forgets about him in some episodes)

I think they really hit gold with the Alcide plot-line, he played that role perfectly, and the scene where his sister spices Sookie up is just how I imagined it. But the Russel Edington (as much as I do like his acting) and Eric one is a bit boring as is the Jesus-Lafayette (who I was hoping had died by now). Bill's incessant whining is also starting to be grating.

And I was REALLY pissed about them portraying Calvin Norris as an abusive drug addict white trash dad.

Too many introductions of new characters this season and too little development, I hope it picks up soon.

This is actually a tradition for True Blood. For the past two seasons they both took a two-week break before the season finale.

There is still some unfinished business left with the werewolves. One particular wolf anyway.

After the 10th episode or the 12th episode?

I wish they'd just show Jesus and Lafayette fucking already..no more v hallucinations or voodoo dolls
