Heroes - The Return Thread

That was a great episode. A few interesting twists, and fun nods to continuity.

Can't wait to see what they do with the last three episodes this season.

Alllllllllrighty then..... -cracks knuckles-

Fantastic episode. Like I mentioned, I was a little apprehensive about a future episode.

But this one blew me away. I really REALLY liked it! So many allusions and hints about what is going to happen. Or what has happened that made it a little clearer.

I'm just trying to remember everything. So much to take it!

Peter's scar....still have no idea what that was. I'm thinking its from blowing up NYC, and he just didn't heal right? What are your thoughts?

Claire looked pretty good with her brunette hair. And I cannot believe that was fucking Sylar posing as Nathan. When she stopped walking forward, and her forehead started bleeding, I literally screamed at the TV!! I was like NOOOO! What a bastard.

Matt becomes an asshole. I wonder what happened to his wife in the future? Or is he just pissed at life?

ANYWAYS, what I REALLY want to know...is in the previews for next week. Obviously they show Molly, who is new. But, was that Sylar going to hug his mom? And wasn't it Claire's mom??

God damn I love this show. Cannot wait for next week. What happens after the end? Did the renew it?

My DVR cut off the end of the preview, but I saw most of it.

What a great episode. Sylar needs to die.

Who is this Molly? What's her power?

I can't wait to see what happens with Niki/Jessica. Jessica is gone in the future (killed by Sylar...or the bomb?). Does that leave Niki powerless, or does she still have the super strength? We've waited all season to find out what the fuck is up with her and we're finally getting close.

If it hadn't been the for the whole Charlie story arc, I'd be inclined to think that Hiro is in love with Ando.

NBC has renewed it for next season.

Stupid Global in Canada cut back in before NBC showed next week's preview.

They renewed it after the second episode aired, I believe. NBC isn't going to mess around with its FEW hit shows. Heroes is the best thing to happen to the network since Friends and ER debuted in 1994.

I hated Niki and Peter being together... BLAGH! And Clair is so much prettier as a brunet.

A bit confusing (at least for me) but very good.

First of all, lol, future Peter is hella hot and he looks so buff, loved his arms and his badass mentality now that he got control of all his powers, he totally rocked this episode. His showdown with Sylar at the end i got goosebumps during that sequence it was so hot.

Sylar is hot but he was an ass tonight. Claire is my favorite superhero and he kills her, i almost cried.

I Kinda knew something was off about Nathan when he entertained the elimination idea.

Niki finally gets Jessica under control, but Mika :(

Matt? what the hell happened to you?

So if Sylar didn't die who exploded? Nathan?

I don't like Niki and Peter together, it seems wrong, a mismatch. Bring back DL he is hot and a better fit.

When Ando and Hiro got reunited it seemed a little gay but i liked it. True friendship rocks.

The closing sequence was awsome.

"A boy sucked all the oxygen out of the air and everyone suffocated" wow what a "power"

Claire's boyfriend was kinda cute

What that boys power at the start of the episode? Did anyone get it?

Curious about Molly.

I know i am missing some stuff, but ill come back when i watch it again later this week.

ugh my DVR cut off right when Ando pulled out the comic from Future Hiro's pocket right before he died and Hiro says he's dead. So i didn't see the very end and I didn't see the previews....i fell off the couch screaming NOOOO as it ended!

but yeah everything was great!!! I called the Nathan being Sylar thing a right at the beginning of the scene with him and Claire...cause I remembered the painting that Sylar did last week and it was him in the position of Nathan from an older painting...and the way he was talking...but it was still awesome!

That was fucking awesome, so many things happened in the future. Wow, even though I figured it out a few seconds before the Sylar reveal was amazing. And Hanna and Bennet were helping heroes, but were both killed. I was doing something for a second so missed a small part did HRG find Hanna's body and thats why Matt tackled him? Total badass fight with future Hiro and Peter, and Sylar vs. Peter fight, man this may replace Company man as my Fave Ep so far.
The only thing good about this future is Candace got killed by Sylar, thats what you get bitch.

Some thoughts: Now we know the meaning of Sylar's painting, I'm also wondering what will happen to Claire's family. I am glad to finally see Hanna again, even though she was barely in it and died, but still nice to see her again. Possibly the biggest is Molly and her power, some seem convinced she can beat Sylar. Am I the only one getting Phoenix vibes from her? Lastly on a Shallow note, Claire's Fiancé is totally hot.

Yes, a good episode, although I am conflicted.

Compaired to some of the episodes we've seen, this was a little weaker in compairson...At least in terms of explaining storylines.

Or maybe I'm just angry cause Parkman killed Mr. Bennet...

Either way.

Well, I can admit when I'm wrong, he seems Sylar does manage to get control of the Presidency, although there's a lot of unanswered questions.

Bennet was hiding Candice, so how did Sylar find her exactly? I know Bennet was telling Parkman the location of some of the more dangerous heroes, and he might have had some "Bad Blood" with Candice, but I don't think he'd just hand her over.

Not to mention how the hell Sylar got the drop on Nathan, and when it happened! I'd love to know the backstory there...Was Nathan elected and then Sylar got him...Or did Sylar pose as Nathan to get elected?

And does anyone have more information on this "Linderman Act"?

Also, it seemed kind of silly that Parkman was able to find out where Claire was from Bennet. Why, why didn't he just start thinking in Japanese again!?

I also have to assume, that Peter comes into contact with Claire's real mother at some point, juding at his pyrokinetic abilities.

And some people are going to hate me...

I didn't care for the Sylar/Peter confrontation in this episode. The entire red/blue and bright light thing from the door...Kind of sterotypical and over done.

Of course, this just might be the bitterness about Bennet's brains being blown out talking...

Granted, I know he'll be back in the next episode, as that was only one future potential...But still!

So this future episode, is it a definate what will happen or is it a 'one of many' possabilities that COULD happen depending on how the heroes go about saving the world in the last three or so episodes ? Because if Claire does die, then it basically means Syler is unstoppable as he can heal himself like Peter now. But can I ask HOW Sylar was able to kill her, as she was pretty much indestructable given her healing ability. And what is this Molly and what is her power that is so great that she is the one that some think will be able to kill Sylar and not Peter ?

My guess is that it was sometime after Nathan was elected, that Sylar got to him. Sylar mentions that he'd already turned against his own kind.

And I think that Molly Walker (the little girl) might be the same girl from one of the beginning episodes. The one that Parkman saved from Sylar in the first place. If so? That was a great bit of continuity.

I thought the Badass Peter was filled with awesomeness.

I was so angry, when Sylar killed Claire.. and I was so shocked when it was revealed it wasn't Nathan.. The future episode was awesome..

And Peter...! Yowza!!

So since Sylar is was alive in the future, who exploded and blew up New York?

I think when Jessica/niki lost her son that Jessica just let Niki have her body. Think about it her husband left her, her son is dead, could you think of a reason why she would want to keep going?

OH and newboy Peter is the one who blew up New York.

OH and newboy Peter is the one who blew up New York

Ok i guess i am slow today, so if he blew it up how was he alive in the future?

Here's what I don't understand about last night's inconsistency plauged episode. I know that it was a possible future, but they essentially showed us what happens when the bomb does explode. Now, a few questions.

Future Hiro told Present Hiro that he stabbed Sylar but he regenerated and thus the reason why the bomb went off. Two things wrong with that though. First, Sylar was never the bomb, as we found at later, so what would stabbing Sylar have to do with the bomb at all?

Also, how can Sylar suddenly regenerate unless he kills Claire?

He obviously didn't kill Claire as she was alive and well when he finally did get around to killing her (boo!), so why would needing another regenerative power be all that important?

The only way I can see them justifying that is to say that Sylar must have killed Linderman the same time he did Nathan and that Linderman's 'dead things healing power' must also extend to regeneration of himself. I like that theory because it would give credence to my other theory that Linderman is really Nathan's father, which would make him Claire's grandfather, and would make Claire's power an extension of his.

I must now call attention to Sexy Peter's scar. Why does he have a scar if he can heal himself? If he was the so called bomb, then he OBVIOUSLY healed himself after blowing up the city or he would still be dead. How do you come back from something like that in perfect (buffed and sexy) condition minus one semi unsightly scar?

This is minor and there is still time for it, but they have yet to explain to us why Simone, Isaac and Claude are in Peter's vision. I know that at this point it is more or less symbolic, but Peter's other 'visions' came true and this one is looking like it will come true soon as well.

If I wasn't so busy noticing all the inconsistencies and rolling my eyes with the careless use of time travel last night, I might have actually enjoyed the episode a great deal more than I did. Otherwise it was just okay, not one of the strongest episodes.

I'm assuming he was able to regenerate himself even from going nuclear. It wouldn't be too hard to believe since Claire was able to regenerate herself after direct contact with nuclear Ted. I'm also guessing that the real Nathan blamed the explosion on Sylar to protect Peter, but somewhere down the road was eventually killed by Sylar himself and took his place using Candace's power of illusion

Great episode overall though, the best so far in my opinion. It was pretty cool to see everyone in the future and how things will pan out if they don't change the present. Something tells me that it won't be Hiro who actually kills Sylar, but someone we'd least expect (Maybe that Molly girl, depending on her power). I'm also getting the vibe that Niki will be able to use Jessica's power pretty soon without her being in control (As it was hinted in an earlier episode when she snapped a guard's nightstick with her bare hands without Jessica in control).

I think I can explain what you might be missing (Time traveling and paradox's can be extremely confusing).

When Future Hiro attempted to kill Sylar by stabbing him, this occured in the timeline where Sylar had already killed Claire, thus gaining her regeneration and being unable to die. Still in this timeline before saving Claire, Nathan likely made the annoucement that it was Sylar who blew up, leading Future Hiro to think it was Sylar who he needed to kill to save New York, when infact it was still Peter. I'm almost positive of that theory since Peter finally admits he was the one who exploded, meaning no one else knew.

When the events of the present changed by saving Claire, Sylar no longer had regeneration which was why he was still searching for her and killed her when he finally did find her (Thanks to dickhead future Parkman). As for the scar, I'm pretty dumbfounded about that as well. My only guess would be that he got it before meeting Claire, otherwise it would have to be related to the bomb and still wouldn't make sence considering he could regenerate his whole body. I'm fairly sure I'm right about most of this, hope it helped.

Okay Ryan, yeah that actually does make sense. This episode does tie back into Future Hiro warning Present Peter about Sylar and changing timelines.

You're right, time travel is confusing and one of the things I'm rather sick of in this show (that and Transformabitch's power playing tricks on us every 5 seconds). I don't mind it when Hiro uses it sparingly, but a whole episode devoted to it is going right over my head, lol.

It would have been nice if they could have made that easier for us to grasp. I mean, I'd consider myself a diehard fan of the show and even I was confused.

^ Sylar himself sort of answered that one.

He doesn't want, or need, any more powers...Well, except for Claire's...

And who can blame him? He's got D.L's phasing abilities, cryonetic powers, telekinesis, flight, and all that other jazz.

It would have been interesting if Mohinder hadn't taken down the Haitian when Sylar arrived, just to see if Parkman knew Nathan was actually Sylar...

Which wouldn't be hard to believe, he's a freaking mind reader for crying outloud!
