The Democrats had an established and probably qualified candidate. The Republicans had several of those, but their party was kidnapped by an obviously unqualified charlatan. The whole lot are out of touch.

Last year's primaries are over. Let's learn from that and move on. Whatever lessons we learned, let's bring them along to win our next battle in 2018 more so in 2020 where we should work hard to win the governors' mansions and state legislatures in time of the nationwide census.

When I did my thing for Kucinich in 2008...I was horrified when I noticed right wing trolls were "agreeing" with me and using my points to undermine the conversation. You guys all in all are too naïve and blind to understand that this happened to you on a MUCH WIDER SCALE. Kucinich was never a threat to anyone...but it bugged me to have the right wing trolls on my side....you guys by and large seemed to embrace their talking points.

I watched you guys happily repeating and parroting ANY anti Hillary stuff...going back to 1992....not even caring that you were helping the GOP. People like me should be an EASY ally to acquire...but I cannot respect the movement that did this. I am damn sure not jumping in bed with the people you guys have allowed in the bed....and yet you can't even recognize them. Stamping your feet and saying it isn't so isn't gonna work. I know it is a fact.

If you cant distinguish between people who are likely to be allies and people who are not...how do you expect to move forward with your "movement"? You will not "take back" anything.

The Democrat Party is center left at best...but I am far left.... and you haven't convinced me.

That's why we need to take our party back and make it the Progressive Worker's party that it was from the 1930s to 1970s. We need to be strategic. We need to Occupy the Democratic Party. We need to expunge it of the Big Money demons that are haunting it. Let us start from the county levels, up to the State levels until it reaches the Democratic National Committee. Let us run Progressives for primary from the school boards to county level positions, to the State level up to the Federal level. Of course, the Big Money Machine will be there attacking us but I am optimistic that if we will do it the old-school grassroots door-to-door combined with social media campaigns, we have the fighting chance to take over the Democratic Party. At the same time, we need to facilitate the registration of new voters and help them get thru the draconian suppressive ID laws imposed by right-wing State governments. Once we occupied and have taken back the Democratic Party, we will challenge the right-wingers of the Republican Party. We will not leave any county of this country not contested. We will give these "Screw you, I got mine" right-wingers the fight of their lives and with our progressive politics of Life, Dignity and Development for All, we will win.

Jill Stein has Trump-like meltdown after Senate demands to see her communications with Donald Trump Jr.

This week the Senate Judiciary Committee sent a letter to Donald Trump Jr. demanding, among other things, that he turn over all records of communications he had with a list of around twenty people. Most of the names are Trump campaign figures or prominent Russian figures. But one name stood out: Jill Stein, the 2016 Green Party candidate for President. In response, Stein has staged a Twitter meltdown that’s eerily similar to the tactics used by Donald Trump.

Jill Stein began ranting on Twitter about how the Congressional investigation into the Trump campaign’s collusion with the Russian government is merely a “McCarthyist witch hunt.” She then began blaming it all on Hillary Clinton, before invoking Donald Trump’s favorite deflection phrase: “The notion I communicated with Trump Jr is laughable. This whole thing is an obvious smear designed to generate a fake news feeding frenzy.”

Stein then continued dishonestly attacking Hillary Clinton, even though Clinton has nothing to do with the bipartisan Senate investigation into the Trump campaign’s collusion with Russia. Stein also tried to further the long-disproven lunatic conspiracy theory that the Democratic Party somehow tried to rig the primary race against Bernie Sanders, an assertion that even Sanders has dismissed as fiction. But apart from the fact that Stein’s utterly deranged Twitter storm feels like it could have been ghost-written by Donald Trump, what stands out is what she didn’t say.

Jill Stein refused to address the fact that she attended a dinner in Moscow during the 2016 election cycle in which she sat at a table with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump adviser Michael Flynn. Stein is also still refusing to say whether the Kremlin paid her to attend, as it paid Flynn. If Stein is innocent, why didn’t she simply address the facts and evidence involved? Why is she now defending Russia against the U.S. government? Her Twitter meltdown is a giant red flag that investigators should be looking deeply into whatever her involvement in the Trump-Russia scandal may have been.
