Almost 13 is not bad for a housekeeper. Just saying.
If he's paying housekeepers almost $2.50 less than $12.70 +/-, wouldn't that be more like $10 per hour?

Are people making that money to sweep floors? If so, they should be glad. That isn't bad for menial work. At least not around here in the Midwest.
In 1992, a journeyman checker (grocery store, union) made $13 an hour. I don't know how much they make today.I don't need that kind of work. I have a decent job. I'd do it if push came to shove. 13 an hour is better that I used to get for actual work.
ForbesIn Corvallis, Oregon, a couple miles north of the Oregon State University campus, sits a WinCo Foods discount supermarket and, unless you’re in need of groceries, you might drive by without noticing it. I assure you, however, it’s an extraordinary building, a laboratory of capitalism worthy of pilgrimages by the world’s great business schools.
Inside the store labor 130 employees of WinCo – grocery clerks, shelf stockers, display builders, bakery workers – and their combined retirement savings roughly comes to an astounding $100 million. And that figure is growing rapidly, such that in a few years the average wealth of these employees could easily exceed $1 million. Quite a few individual workers already have account balances above that level.
Like I said, 13 an hour for unskilled labor is decent money.

It sounds fine in theory, for 'other people'.
Don't know how you'd actually survive on it though, let them eat cake?
^ They're not undocumented. In fact, he has to apply to the government to hire them and bring them into the country. All he has to do is to say that there are no Americans willing to do the job. I think I may have posted somewhere in this forum that he's hired about 250 people to work at Mar-A-Lago. Four of them have been American.

The worst part of your sentiment is that the economy always needs those jobs, therefore you're effectively saying there should always be people who aren't paid enough to live on. You approve of subsistence workers.
Quite scummy when you think about it. Doesn't mean your hotel room is any cheaper.
Pay $700 for a 1 bedroom apartment, pay utilities, buy food. What are you talking about? 13 an hour is darn good for vacuuming floors. Try some hard labor every once in a while. You might get 14. Don't be so obtuse.
Who do you call when you are bleeding to death in the street? A housekeeper? No. You call an expert at saving lives. Those guys make at average less than 15 an hour. How dare you pay a bed maker that much.
